Starting in on KD:M, and really excited about my first mini. For those nay-sayers who've been complaining about plastic, gotta' say that I actually prefer painting them to resins. (A little tiny materials review)

I wish I'd know when stuff would be coming my way, I'm itching to get building and painting again.

For what it's worth, I just got my game today. It was quite a surprise considering I'm not a "King of Death" or "Resin Backer" tier.

Everything seems accounted for aside from the bonus White Speaker and Twilight Knight, which I assume will be in phase 3? Did anyone else not get their White Speaker and Twilight Knight along with the phase 2 core game?

Nobody should be getting White Speaker or Twilight Knight with their Wave 2 core games.

Everybody should be getting them as part of Wave 1, but some will be getting either/both of them as part of Wave 3.

One of my few regrets is canceling my ~$900 pledge at the 11th hour :/

@Johnhwang I need to check my survivor reward box but I definitely got my twilight knight. Don't believe I got the white speaker I think that's coming straight from poots

i just received a notification from auspost that is saying a parcel is on its way thats 9.2 kg i believe from pik pak
now i dont have any other parcels due yet (except for maybe dungeon saga) sooo maybe

It's an awesome amount of stuff with a ton of minis. And what's cool is that it looks like the bonus TK and WS figure into the core game. Nice.


Sadly, the shipping wasn't done with near the care of the game itself, as mine was shipped in a cut-down double-core packing box, with no padding or spacing. As a result, the game box got damaged, my inner tray is torn in multiple places, and my rulebook got dinged. Gotta say, that was kinda disappointing for how nice everything should be.


Seeing all the sprues and tiny parts to be assembled kinda makes me wonder just what I was thinking when I ordered all of this stuff.

If you backed at survivor level your 'gift' twilight knight will be in wave 2 (from the shipment house) somewhere in the survivor box, I think

So wait, for clarification, was there anything that was only available to kickstarter backers or no? Is anyone able to purchase all the minis and expansions?

The twilight knight is in the backer bonus box. It's on a sprue with a few other minis including Snow and Aya so it's easy to miss.

@Orlando - I didn't back Survivor, and I didn't get the TK in my Wave 1 stuff. I've emailed support.

The preorders (which were up for a while post gencon) have now closed so you can't get hold of anything without resorting to the secondary market, the plan appears to have the launch of the retail game around black Friday (get yourself on the mailing list here http://shop.kingdomdeath.com/products/kingdom-death-monster-preorder-special)

In terms of the KS exclusives the only game minis were Adam & Anna Survivors of Death. Everything else is intended to be released for sale in some way at some point

the 4 messengers and other specials like holiday nico will probably show up on special occasions (conventions and perhaps special days like Halloween, Xmas etc)
the collaborations with soda pop miniatures candy & cola will hit general release (as soda pop is putting the chibi twilight knight on general release)
The collaborartion with Studio Mcvey, Kara Black I'm not sure on, that might be KS exclusive

As to the expansions again they will hit release at some point, it could be at the same time as the main game, it could be more slowly over time, but everything should be released

So excited to get my first game rolling! Initial impressions are really positive. Models are beautiful, art/rule book is gorgeous, presentation is spot on!

It's taken all my restraint not to start clipping things off sprues... working at home and the box is sitting there in the corner.

My box was delivered to my parents house earlier today.

I'm not sure I want to open it as I have to work tomorrow...

...but I may not be able to resist.

That's strange considering the non-Survivor-level backers should be getting Twilight Knight and White Speaker, but they won't be getting Snow and Aya. I'm a "The Game" backer (and a ton of expansions) and didn't even think I'd be getting anything Phase 1. For the record, I got the core game in hand already delivered, but no emails whatsoever.

Not all non-Surivivor backers got both TK and WS in Wave 1 - the first batch of Wave 1 only got WS. It's not clear whether NS TK will ship Wave 3 or at the end of Wave 1.

I'm not sure if that is the case. I'll let you read my recent email chain with their support and see if you draw the same conclusions. (Most names will be changed. Bolding is mine.)

The Facebook group is making me so jealous right now with sweet, sweet unboxing, assembly and gameplay comments

My wave 1 pledge arrived this morning. Got hit by customs, only £3.50 as was only a few models but royal mail added a £8 handling fee because they can.

Have the EU boxes for the main game started shipping yet?

I have to say I was in a mind to Ebay it all, the long delays had taken my interest away from the game, but seeing the first models in hand I think I've changed my mind, they are beautiful.

Got my first game in last night. Went pretty well, aside from 3 survivors getting killed by the tutorial lion.

The only problem now is keeping everything organized. The box holds sleeved cards just fine, but coming up with enough sleeves is a pain. I think I've exhausted my area's supply of FFG green sleeves. I'd like to sleeve the settlement events but I can't find sleeves in their size and I don't think they'd fit back in the box if I did. Also, I'm not sure what I'm going to do with the board and manual. They're heavy and I'm not sure the card dividers will hold up their weight. I'm already carrying a box of minis with it, I don't really want to have to carry the book separately as well.

Oh well, logistical problems like that happen with any game with lots of parts. Doesn't detract from the game itself though. I'm going to try to get a campaign started on Saturday.

Hey guys, I read on the "By Lanterns Light (A Kingdom Death Group)" on facebook, that some people are missing cards (one specific example was someone who was missing an AI card from the screaming antilope deck). He found out by comparing 2 sets card by card.

Does anyone have a complete card list or the number of cards that should be in each deck/pack/card set?

With news like that I think it might be useful to compare numbers or card lists.
