I'm struggling at the 1500 point range, definitely lacking the high S/low AP on my purifier list, so I'm thinking this may be my new answer...

Inquisitor runs with a purifier squad. Jokaero/Acolyte play as a suicide tank buster unit. Dreads do what Psyrifle dreads do...Hang back and shoot stuff.
Ideas?

Putting the IQ henchman squad in a chimera instead of a rhino gives you more firing points.

If you lose two purifiers from each squad, you could run another 5x squad with 2 psycannons, You just won't be able to afford a rhino for them.

If you need low AP, Psyrifleman dreads don't solve that problem, they have the high strength, but they don't have the TEQ killing rounds. You save 10 PPM by not upgrading the MM to an AC, which is almost a rhino for that hypothetical 4th squad, you lose 6 shots of 8/4, but you gain 3 of 8/1. With the extra 2 psycannons you're fielding, you may not miss those shots.

Though if you put them in a chimera they dont benefit from the psychic powers that rhinos get.

I think that the rhino with the jokaero in it is okay. you can us ethe 2 fire points to shoot at range, or you move 12", get out, and melta stuff. You lose the ability to move 6" and stay in the transport and fire 3 melta guns.


What if you ran the purifiers in squads or 5 with 2x Psycannons and 3x Halberds. Would this get you enough points to get another squad and another rhino?

That is a ton of gunfire, it's brutal in CC, and its highly mobile... takes on all comers. Can't wait to see the battle reports. Please post one when you can, and PM me when you do.
