I started collecting an arabian army a few months ago using a wide variety of modells such as old Bretonian spearmen or converted marauders. Now I am thinking about what army book I should use to play this army. Which armybook would you find best? Other suggestions are of course welcome.

Yea I'll agree that you should go fan made since they have a little bit of everything from certain armies if we're going by their warmaster army

I have playtested every single one of his fan made books and they all run swimmingly. Overall i could not recommend them more.

Thanks Ralin Givens and kenshin. I like this armybook, but am afraid, I will not be able to use it at official tournamnets.

I'd go with dark elves.
You get fast cav, light cav (4+ armor) and heavy cav, along with chariots, tons of infantry types, assassins and a few monsters.

I use my WoC as a Norse army all the time, infact I find it more enjoyable than a WoC force

Raiding the settlements of an inferior race

If you can be bothered then I say you should make up an army book for them but make sure that's ok with your opponent.

If you can't then perhaps tomb kings would be best. They both live in the same kind of environment but your guys are just... alive.

Don't Araby work like Eygpt and the Ottoman. Eygpt like the Araby is infamous for it's Light Cavarly.

Yes, that would cover the light cavalry. But the main problem, is that I need a core of heavy and light infantry.

Eternal guard and then units like glade rides and wild riders would work...... Or you could just use the awesome fanmade book! (shameless plug)

That's where you could use Bretonnia, light Cavarly Wood Elf, Rest is Bretonnia.

Use araby army based on Empire . The Janssiaries could be Great swords . Your light infantry is militia . You have cannons and use elephants to represent steam tanks !!! The fast cav would be pistoliers !!! The archlector could be used to rep your Sultan etc . or Empire general ?

I like the idea of Elephants as Steam tanks, but I am uncertain about the Steampot rule and the 10 wounds on the steam tank.

Use empire stats but limit troop types to equivelent Tomb kings, im reading the Nagash books and there is scope for a brilliant Age of Legends army list.

Waiting for my shill money from Spiral Arm Studios

I would use Empire with possably a focus on Wizards as your Heros and Lords(Gelt would be a fluffy include)

Pistoliers would be an easy counts as. Make some light cavelry that have throwing stars or some sort of repeating crossbow(to be the Str4 armor piercing shots) and 2 hand weapons(for the XHW that brace of pistols are in CC)

Knights can be Jannisary/Mamluk stand-ins. maybe on Camels

I like the Elephant count-as Steam Tank. Make it have a small cannon and Fire Pots(for the steampot) 10 wounds and T10 is represented by lots of armor plates.
