It seems that this modular terrain company isnt going to be here any more

From their website

Unfortunately, due to other commitments, I am no longer accepting orders with the exception of the Gruntz Opaque tokens which I will continue to offer for a limied period.
All pending orders for other items will be fulfilled shortly.

There may be limited runs of new items offered from time to time - keep an eye on Dakka Dakka for announcements.

Some of their past works include modular city tiles and canals

Ah, man. I really like the S6 Engineering roads. Here's my gallery of them, and a few of the best pics I took:

They'll be missed. I had hoped to order a couple more packs of the road sections and plates, but i guess I won't get the chance. :(

Working on someting you'll either love or hate. Hopefully to be revealed by November.

This really is a shame, so far I only picked up some base plates for a few buildings, but the road system and bridges looked awesome and at some point I would have loved to get some, I havent been able to find any road systems which looked as good/functional/affordable.

That's a bummer. His job probably picked up in earnest and doesn't have time for the side projects any more.

Dammit, sorry to here this Scott-S6 if you are reading.

I'll put my hand up for some of whatever stock you have left, particularly the 15mm stuff.

As a personal friend of Scott's, I can assure you all that nothing at all negative has happened to him; a full-time occupation has meant that he, unfortunately, no longer has the time to run S6 Engineering.

It's a shame to see the company go, however, as some of the items he was producing were properly boss.

So, why doesn't someone with the time and money offer to buy him out? Start producing the stuff for sale yourself?

Ditto that. Scott, if your're reading this: you should sell your product line to another company. It's totally a good product, and you have already been establishing a customer base and your good name.

Not only would that serve customers well, but you could get some remuneration for your work to date.

Damn, saw this last night on Dropship Horizon. Good for Scott, terrible for the gaming community, those pieces were some of the best out there. He deffinately addressed a need that was sorely lacking with his roads and baseplates. His other stuff was neat, but there is just an absolute lack of good 28mm sci-fi roads out there. Here's hoping he finds a way to bring his store back and still do well for himself!

I kind of assumed that S6 Engineering was the result of a gamer with access to specialized equipment... The equipment being an expensive up-front expense for most.

I had a feeling that production might have been semi-automated, but packing and shipping orders was time consuming, which is understandable for a side job.

The small-scale S6 roads were a great product. I was hoping for another piece or two to prevent as much of a 'grid' of fire-lanes, but was also on the lookout for opportunities to make my own (Model a base plate and road piece pre-connected with a structure toppled over to block the road, for example).

Still, very cool products and support from S6 was always friendly and quick. Best of luck to Scott in whatever he moves on to.

Hi guys

Actually, I bought the equipment rather than having access to it. Even with a CNC rig, though, there was a surprising amount of manual intervention required (and the smell.....).

I was offered a job near the start of the year with one of the world's biggest IT companies. Great job but a really long commute and it made keeping up with orders tough. Those of you that've ordered recently will know how long the turn-arounds have been (2-3 weeks has been pretty common).

There are still things I want to produce. What I have in mind is to offer sets in very limited quantities. That way I can get the stock made up and packaged rather than making everything to order.

Keep an eye on Dakka for updates!

As long as I can order a few sets of those counter bases and flight stands I will be happy, regardless it pains me to see such a great company as S6 to be leaving us.

Good Luck and best Winds
