I was working on this for a month or so. It's mostly complete now and sitting up at my FLGS on a cabinet, so I don't have post-constructions pics yet. It isn't finished being painted, but it's probably 85% complete. I'm going to bring it back home tonight after work (I hope), so I will try to get some pics up tonight or tomorrow.

So, I need to make a disclaimer first: I do NOT model Orks. Never have and likely never will. I'm just not very good at making things look ramshackle and cobbled together... 'Orky'.

Here's the pics:

The shoulder weapons and the arm weapons are all magnetized.

3 magnets in each weapon arm.

That's it for now.

We use the "Lords of Battle v.2" .pdf from Bell of Lost Souls.
We play Apoc a lot at my store and I got tired of the Orks whining that they didn't have enough D weapons or war engines, so I made this.

Thats pretty impressive, especially for someone that doesnt do Orks. Ive been in the mood for building big ass Ork vehicles lately, and you just inspired me a bit seeing this (Like any good Ork, I too want a Gargant) Very nicely done

I'd say it looks pretty good. It's not pretty - it's blocky, disproportionate, patched together, and entirely graceless - which is more than enough to convey the right vibe. Coating in glue and rolling in bits does not an ork vehicle make.

I'd love to see it mostly, if not entirely, painted.

Feet and body, especially with the battle damage, are superbly detailed. I think my favorite parts are the shoulders though, the the lookout tower and the nice little hut with shingled roof. Very nice.

Hrm, its a good start, I'm not sure about the big cannon arm, plus I think you need to work on the smaller details.

The rarefied atmosphere

that's pretty god damn epic. now, when will you be making the mega gargant?

The USS Orinoco was a Federation Danube-class runabout that was in service with Starfleet in the late 24th century, attached to Deep Space 9. It was outfitted with a sensor pod.

Already finished with that one. It's my ex several years later. I'm not interested in revisiting that project.

Man... I had no plans and no real vision. I just wanted a Great Gargant and I know they have huge guns. I had the Lords of Battle rules (from Bell of Lost Souls) and many, many confrontations with them from playing Epic 40k for years. From there, I just sat down at my kitchen table and started cutting foamcore. It just started taking shape and I added and removed ideas as I went along. He turned out to be a few inches taller than I had planned. I wanted him to be 15" or so, but he's more like 17".

I guess, all told he took me about 2 months of working on him roughly 2-3 nights a week for a few hours a night plus some sporadic, short bursts of 10-15 minutes of work here and there.

My FLGS had their 1 year celebration and they asked me to bring him up for display, so he's still there. Once he left my possession, I find myself having a hard time wanting to take him home to finish him. He may never get finished... :(

Ummm... I don't have the rules in front of me right now, but I think he's 1900 pts. He has 8 or 9 structure points and a bunch of shields and his 3 main weapons (2 arms and belly gun) are immune to "Weapon Destroyed" results. The two shoulder weapons can, though. The observation tower also gives him +1 BS which, as you can well understand, is a HUGE bonus for somthing with 6d6 X 2 shots and a D weapon...
