Very interested in starting a WHFB army... I'd love to actually start an army that's in the starter set for once, so I can get some models at a discount.

So here's the question... High Elves or Skaven?

I like the models for Skaven better... but I think I like tactics of the High Elves better.

So dakka... what do you think is the better deal? Skaven or High Elves?

High Elves - pick Teclis, spam Swordmasters. Much tactic needed!

I think Skaven is a lot more fun to play because they got tons of fun units. Only downside is that if you do NOT like to paint then Skaven is a real pain.

Oh. It should be noted I play 40K daemons... but they are on round bases.... can I I stick em in movement trays and call it a day?

Yes you can it takes a bit of work to make them rank up nicely.

For DoC 60+ blood letters will do well.
Crushers and flamers plus a Blood thirster adn you are set.
Oh wait a herald of tz or 2 and a herald of khorne and you are set.

My buddy does this and it works. It just takes a little bit of effort to get them on the movement trays.
