Well, got a new bite of news from a local magazine on game modes.

On initial release there will only be these 2 modes.

BUT, and this is a very big but:

They are already planning DLC releases for co-op (so yes, we might not get co-op on release). Additional MP modes, and more importantly, LAST STAND!

Heavily customisable space marines. Excellent.

I'm so going Devastator every time. I love BFGs. Then again, I may also be forced to go Assault every now and then.

No mention about co-op though.

Not enough game modes IMO, otherwise, nice.

Wouldn't mind a horde variant though.

Well, a little of what it shows is how customisable the Marines are, and that is "Very". Any colour, so many mods, etc.

Also, the three classes.

Tactical: Basic marine, swiss army knife kind of thing.

Devastator: BFG, sniper rifle, but slow.

Assault: Incredible melee prowess, and can jump very high and far into combat.

So far it's Marines Versus Chaos Marines (for balance it seems).

NOOOO just checked the PC specs... MY 9400GT SUCKs!!! why,.. WHY... it will run the game... but on LOW... WHY... thats why people buy consoles... cause they don't have to upgrade them just buy the new one...

Okay so the trailers look pretty spot on. Pretty excited for this.

8 vs 8 sized rooms. Good, on decent sized maps and a full room could be very very fun.

Looks like there are all the armour options that would be found on the model equivalent, including what looks like some pre-heresy armours and symbols?

Classes look fairly balanced, though I'm very much in favour of the Assault Marine class as in gameplay footage it looks like melee attacks stun or stagger their target?

Downsides? Probable lag issues in regards to damage (akin to Gears of war perhaps) and serious lack of other game modes such as a 'last stand survival' type thing, or domination style objectives...

It's Space Marines vs Chaos Space Marines.

3 class system:

Tactical, Devastator and Assault.

Tactical get's all rifle like weapons and the melta

Devastator gets Plasma Cannon, Lascannon, Heavy bolter (so far)

Assault get's melee shiznits.

2 Game modes:

Annihilation (team last man standin)

And seize ground. (capture points)

EXP system for unlocking weapons and armor mods.

Sounds damned nice, that combined with the info Kan has noted about the customization in the News and rumours thread, means I am very interested in this game.

In a buy on release day kinda way, not three months down the line when it gets a little cheaper as I was previous to this news.

You missed the Power Sword, it's a bonus for ordering from THQ directly, although it doesn't seem to available in the UK which sucks.

Supposedly Play.com has it available as a preorder bonus for PC, but I don't know

The Power Sword is a bonus for ordering the PC version directly from THQ, period though.
Console players obtain the Power Sword through completing a level in the full version of Kill Team.

Play.com has the Golden Chainsword, but Play.com are terrible so they're not an option IMO, unless you want to get the game a week after release.

The Chaos Skins are my fave, but with GAME Uk you get both the Imperial and Chaos ones, so yeah, getting it at GAME.

Plus in numerous pre-orders they have never failed to get it to me on the day, or usually the day before.

Now I'm tempted to preorder through Game myself. To get the Imperial ones, I have to use a crummy vendor here in the US(GameStop) and to get Chaos I have to use a good vendor(Best Buy).

Gotta love pre-order bonuses...

I wish they'd handle pre-order bonuses differently, they should just give all major stores access to all bonuses and when you order you pick what you want from a menu, this way you can always buy from your favorite store and always get the bonus you want.

This looks awesome!

Not at awesome as a game where I could play Orks would look like, but still pretty awesome.

The multiplayer looks like a lot of fun. I like how the classes all have different weapon sets that they can use. I was watching the vid earlier with some friends and I couldn't really hear the interview, but it looks awesome. The gameplay looks like tons of fun. I cannot wait to get a copy of this game.

I wholeheartedly agree. That's why I pre-order through them all the time.

Can't wait. I'm loving the whole massive customization stuff. With extra parts with the pre-order, people can really make their character their own.

Never used Gamestation for a preorder I must admit.

I have been known to walk in the local store and pick up the odd second hand title. Plus they are more likely to hold gaming merchandise than other stores.

GAME has never let me down mind, so for me they are fine. Amazon though, wouldn't go near near with a two hundred foot barge pole, I've been done personally by them over WaR, and went back to GAME for my WoW Cata CE and various other games before and since. With WoW Cata got it day before, while the poor folks on Amazon took a few weeks in some cases to get their WoW games.
