A question I've been pondering: If I obtain the Power Sword via Killteam, can I transfer it over to a PC copy of Space Marine?

Okay.. so I think I'm actually going for the golden chainsword.

Everyone and their mother seems to be going for skins, and besides, I'd rather play with my own chapter :3

The only reason i don't want a golden weapon is, i feel having a shiny weapon may mark me out for targetting by enemy peepz...

I just cancelled my pre-order for the Chaos Skins.

I saw an interview of a developer for this game, and he said that all these pre-order bonuses, aside from possibly the Golden Weapons, will be available at a later time.

Its just to make their retailers happy, I'm getting a Collectors Edition now.

I doubt it. The PC game has a different way through preorders of getting the identical powersword.

It's likely even if it isn't confirmed...
I was going to pre-order it anyway so the fact i get a little bonus for doing something i would have done anyway is nice...

The Power Sword is the only one I'm not really sure what they are going to do with, but I know now that, clearly, the skins will be available as DLC later, which is fine by me.

I feel this is the first major mainstream Warhammer game, and will really expand the genre. WAR is an MMO, and flopped at that, so didn't really do much. DOW is an RTS, which isn't really a mainstream thing, most people like FPS or something similar.

A TPS like Space Marine will be a major success, and I expect a lot of high-quality DLC, a la Borderlands.

WAR is an MMO, and in a genre that already had a juggernaut in place. That juggernaut timed announcement of one of the most anticipated expansion packs to right as WAR was ironing out its kinks.

I'm hoping for high quality and quantity DLC but I'm not expecting it as I've seen plenty of games that should have had it never get it on consoles (PC is another story as obviously DOW has been well supported with sequels and expansions).

Looking at their previous console offerings doesn't inspire much confidence. I think Saints Row had some minor DLC from what friends told me but the others are relatively barren from what I can tell. Anyone know of well-supported post-launch console games from THQ?

Indeed, Kanluwen. It still has major power gaps in RVR, and its been a long time. People have been let go, and there is basically no reason to play that game anymore. There is no chance for any expansions, and the people who are going to play it, already are.

I just figure that for Space Marine, seeing as how successful it will be, judging from the amount of activity on their own forums and a lot of other places, THQ would be losing money if they didn't squeeze us for all our money as much as possible, which is fine by me.

They already promised DLC for extra coöperative modes in a two gaming magazines I read (power unlimited, Gameplay).

They already named Last Stand.

I'm starting a steamgroup for the game, Wolves of Odin.
