I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

Tbh, that looks more ugly and overly complicated to look good. It's only gimmick that I see is that it transforms, and is part of a movie.

I would refuse to own that for free.

"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."

This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

From a different website: http://www.gunjap.net/site/?p=12427

complete transformation:
G-1: TANK mode
G-2: Standing mode
Made of high strength resin cast & polyurethane
Model already painted
Sculpted by: X-PLUS HK (Executive Producer: Hosokawa Mitsuhiko)
Length: Approximately 40cm (G1 mode)
Height: Approximately 25cm (G2 mode)
Price:…….99,750 Yen
Release date: End of August or will be in early September 2011

Edit: There is confusion whether this thing is 1:8 scale. It's based on the 1:8 movie prop.

And most importantly:
The Japanese page: http://www.ric-toy.ne.jp/item_gunhed.html
And the Japanese page showing how you transform the model between modes: http://www.ric-toy.ne.jp/gunhed_tf.html

How can price be an object when it does that?

Because it's a giant robot from a 1989 movie.

I find it pretty funny that folks freak out about the price of this, but not over the price of FW Titans...

Was the price listed 95 thou yen?
That's at the lower end of expensive Japanese GKs.
Volks and WSC had flagship kits in the Five Star Stories range that were nearly twice that amount. They weren't offfered as pre-paints either....

I think there should be a "badly" in that line somewhere.

Good grief Worglock
Is there not a post you make without insulting someone on Dakka?

Some people make their own as much for the creativity and challenge as the inhibitive cost of the model.
Kudos to them for having a crack at it.

£740?
did someone add an extra nought on by mistake?
It says it is only 25cm tall in standing mode/40cm long in lowered, so it doesn't seem as big as I thought given the 1:8 scale.

I was going to immediately report this thread as total spam based on the title, but then I saw that a moderator posted it, making it exempt from normal posting guidelines.

Also this model is so hella overpriced it's a joke. It has a terrible coolness to cost ratio. The model doesn't even look good, it looks goofy and impractical. Even more so than 40k.
