So I was wondering what you guys thought about BoM. Have you used it before? is it practical or does turning your foe in too a nasty chaos spawn just sound sorta bomb? Let everyone know what you think!

A friend of mine uses it against my orks. It nearly always fails because Orks have T4. It worked only once, but then it kicked ass. I guess it would perform great against Imp, Nids etc...

Or you go for the grots in the Ork army; t2...

LOOK!! a shameless self-promotion! (gasp!)

I used it one the Night Bringer and he became Spawn, hilarious and effective but if you want to use it multiple times do so against low toughness troops or leaders.

The biggest indicator someone is a loser is them complaining about 3d printers or piracy.

It is very funny, but equally unpredictable, but if it works, you can demolish a gunline with it cos spawn at that distance is just cruel.

The question is, do you take the risk?

I find that I only use it on units that come with it for free (The Blue Scribes, Fateweaver) and only because other Daemonic Gifts don't currently apply.

Very often I use it when Fateweaver is going to end up stuck in close combat, and I'm trying to soften up the squad he's going to have to deal with. That chaos spawn can turn the tide of the battle.

Eldrad is T4; others aren't. But given that mostly you see Eldrad...

I use it vs. dreadknights. Nothing is more fun that seeing your opponents prized dreadknight turned into a spawn. It is usefull. It can be a gamechanging attack so if you ever need to fill points you take it.

My Dark Eldar and Eldar HQs have met many unfortunate ends to that power. Yes, it's definately worth it against low toughnesss stuff.

The first and only time I used it I managed to get a Grey Knight.

Really though it's unpredictable, but when I used it it did change the outcome of the assault.

It's fairly expensive as I remember but if there's a chance of it killing a 275pt independant character why not, if you have the points free and are willing to take an unlikely chance it makes a good point filler.

Do not presume to judge me or the methods I choose to employ, petty-minded fool. You cannot comprehend the magnitude of the task I have undertaken nor the consequences of my failure.

You bet it killed my poor Grey Knight!!!

If you're genna take it, take two. Then, you've got a 2/3 chance of Spawning (is that a word in this context? It is now!) an MEQ. Remember, it doesn't cause wounds, so saves can't be taken.

An it will hurt IG. One of the diddy guys becomes a Chaos monster and goes rampage. That's a fair bit of dead infantry from a model that cost you nothing.
