At the moment I am thinking Friday evening 8:30 or 9ish at the RAM, which is about two blocks from the Convention center and always runs a gaming theme (usually sponsored by Privateer Press).

Hm, didn't realize GenCon was this weekend. Maybe I should head over.

I'd love to head over to that and meet you all, but I shall be attending the Legendary DrunkAssParty at Scotty's Brewhouse at that time. If I plan to arrive at that fashionably late though could probably fit this in.

Dakka has a club? Where?

So wish I could go to GenCon. It's so much fun!

I do like the idea of using the RAM though, they're a good place and they really do their best to cater to the GenCon crowd.

Scotty's will certainly be getting some time, but I figured the RAM was a better place because of it's close proximity for those not familiar with the area.

Those of us attending GenCon, or otherwise living or visiting the general Indianapolis area this weekend, yeah. That's the hope anyway. I guess if anyone wants to travel vast distances just to meet everyone without attending GenCon, that's your prerogative.

I only mentioned Scotty's as there's a big organized drink-o-thon event scheduled there Friday at 9 that a friend of mine signed us up for. I like the Scotty's up here in West Lafayette, so I wouldn't be opposed to Dakkaing there, but I definitely agree that the RAM would be the better choice for a Dakkanaut assembly.

We have sentries throughout the city waiting with walkie talkies and Pokeballs. We will catch them all.

I'll be at the mantic stand, but unfortunatley the con is the only place I can really go without getting my groups approval.

Gencon is always so far away from my native Maine. I am cursed with distance and I am jealous.

So did anyone actually attend the Dakka meet-up?

Dang it, wish I knew about this! I was at the RAM on Friday myself, just around 2 pm. And just in case someone saw me, I am a pretty unique individual. 6'4, black/brown crew cut hair, mutton chops. I was hanging around the Battletech pods (damn you Anima Nova, I was only 2 kills behind you to make the top Medium Mech pilot of the week!) and FFG in both the expo hall and Hall F demo area.

And congrats to my brother making 38th place in the MTG Nationals at Gen Con.

Polonius and I met up, but because of poor planning (how do we know other dakkites?) we didn't get to meet anyone else. Our hunters were able to get a tag on Malfred so we can track his movements to build upon the current research for further generations to study.
