Finally after a lot of studying, I could finally finish my latest terrain piece. When I watched Star Wars 5, I thought it would be a really cool idea to make an AT-AT for warhammer. I start measuring the blueprints, I figured out that it would be really big. Here are the results.

Notice the space marine on the ground

And with a little photoshop magic....

When your AT-AT is burning and a leg is blown away you abandon your tank!
The idea was that they put an old AT-AT on a junkyard. Ready to strip and sell the parts

The AT-AT is notoriously unstable and a single leg missing would topple one.

Looks good, though, even if the body is smaller than it should be. ;p

Awesome work, I particularly like the fact that troops can actually be placed within it, rather than just around its feet.

Awesome terrain piece.

I agree that it would not be standing with only three legs, particularly if it's been moved, but still looks great.

How do the troops get up the legs into the body? Needs a ladder somewhere I think. The salvage crew must have something to get to the metal like a ladder or scaffolding.

Clever idea. I think you should flesh out the interior and add some wires and maybe some storm troopers.

Very nice.

Is that sprue used for the innards?

The painting could be finished up with a bit more rust and verdigris on the trash by its feet and in the leg joints.

Wow great job on this I think it looks really great. I think it would serve more as a practical piece of terrain if it was a downed AT-AT but nonetheless its great and creative.

Cool piece. But may I ask why? Did you just have an old toy laying around?

Edit: noticed your blueprints sentence. I guess that means it wasn't a toy. Did you not want to bother with the feet? None-the-less I'm very impressed by the piece.

No it is not a toy haha it is just cardboard and styrofoam. But thanks for the compliment.
I made the feet but they are covered with junk. They are there, trust me

Unnecessarily picky...I think it looks great, and if it would topple with one leg missing, why wouldn't it topple when it's walking?

Because physics doesn't work that way?

I've been keeping an eye on this thread hoping to change my mind everytime I look but I'm afraid I don't like it. It's well executed and it looks great but I'm afraid I can't accept a star wars 40K merger...Just isn't right in my book

Well done for making it but afraid I'm not keen
