Everytime I play my termies they die a horrible and painful death. The 2+ save sounds great, but bad luck can really screw a battle plan up. I only have the standard shooty termies and i am dissapointed everytime I play them. Maybe I'm just unlucky or I just play them badly.

When I play my CSM Terminators they always kick ass ! toughtness + firepower(autocanon)+ CC

Terminators are Hit or Miss. In many cases they work their purpose and wreck potentially dangerous units, on the other hand they can be a huge sink hole for points and be useless on the feild.
Personally I like them only when they have been loaded down with long range or heavy weapons and are acting as a retinue for a Lord.

See, i was just thinking about putting lysander with some THSS termies but i was told not to, he works better with guys with boltguns which i totally understand.

No. Lysander works best with TH/SS Termies.

I love Terminators, they are fun and scare some armies. I don't play them all of the time though.

Since I enjoy the though of small, elite forces wading into hordes and crushing them, yes I like terminators.

I love my wolf guard termies because they all can be kitted out differently. That and Arjac Rockfist is just a total beast in combat. You just have do this knowing that your squad is going to be points heavy and be willing to accept that.

Having begun my involvement with the hobby playing Space Hulk, I love Tactical Dreadnought Armour. A quick count through the cabinet reveals that, counting loyalists, traitors and my very old and badly-painted metal Blood Angels, I presently have almost 100 painted Terminator Marines.

I think I have that many between my Wolf Guard, Death Wing and now Paladins

I love my tactical terminators. I run 10 with two cyclones and Lysander for the bolter drill. It makes for a cool, if stupidly expensive unit.

If I don't plan right, deep striking Termicide units in my IG's rear are a pain in the ass.

And TH/SS terminators are impossibly annoying. They can take my powerblobs and just hold them.

Well, I just finished my deathwing squad. Two TH/SS, two LC and one Heavy flamer.

I loaned them to a friend for a 1500 battle and they practically ate my Avatar all by themselves. Would have finished him too if I didn't charge my banshees into the mass. So, for a first go, I say:

Terminators rock!

Take seven Terminators, 4 with Lightening Claws, 3 with TH/SS, give them Furious Charge and a Reclusiarch with like armor, throw them I'm a Land Raider, and that's a party. Rerolling fail to hit and fail to wound with the SS there to hurt MC's and Dreads and to take the odd Power Weapon wound, hot damn.

10 TH/SS termies with Chapter Master With Termie armour and 2 Thunder hammers. I know it sounds overkill but it takes sooooooooooooo long to kill

this is why I don't like Lysander.

No matter what you do with him, you feel like you are misusing him.

Terminators are beasts. Either 5 BT termies with cyclone ML and tank hunters or 7 assault termies 5 LC and 2 Th/SS with a marshall in termi armor with LC and a mantle in a crusader. While the EC has AAC then that squad can mow through almost anything.

An advancing squad of tactical Terminators that gets into hand to hand as soon as it's close enough is a potent unit with Lysander, just an expensive one.

As for the Black Templars Terminators with a chaplain; it's a little redundant. You can just take accept any challenge or whichever oath it is that gives them all preferred enemy. At that point there's little reason not to take a marshall instead. If you want the fearless instead of armywide LD10 go for it though.
