So, recently cleaned out my room. Came across a wholse bunch on stuff stashed away in various boxes and thought I would share. A sort of blast from the past - older minis that some people may not have seen or some people may not have seen in a long time. Mostly unpainted I am afraid as I am crap at building and painting. I will add as I take my pics.

First up - spine dragon, mounted vampire lord, some woman holding a very large rifle (anyone know where from).

Next picture - some chaos thing from Alchemist

Next - converted SM Bearer

Then, for real blast from past, Ral Partha

2014 will be the year of zero GW purchases. Kneadite instead of GS, no paints or models. 2014 will be the year I finally make the move to military models and away from miniature games.

Next up to add:

Orc standard bearer, Sgt Centurius and an Orc GD mini from 1998 I think. That Orc GD mini is still my favorite mini of all time. I have one painted somewhere but cannot find it.

Ha, the only good space wolf is one being eaten. Not strictly a blast from the past (unless someone spots the epic parts in it) but I did use it 10 yrs ago as an objective marker for a tournie.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Wound counter for 'nid warriors - again a tournie thingy from 14yrs ago when 'nids were first redone but not really a true blast from the past

ahhh, now this is a model I bought eons again. I even remember talking to my girlfriend at the time. "of-course I am going to paint it. This weekend in fact. It is going to be a weekend project to relax. I know I don' play the game but it is an interesting painting project" Yep, still in the box! An oriental dragon from Clan War (L5R) - the detail is amazing, especially considering the model is easily 15-20 yrs old.

The Games Day Orc is from 2000, not '98.

Also, I so need to track down the Clan War dragons for my collection of CW minis.

2000? You are probably right - memory going as I slip into age old. How many clan war dragons were there and are they as well sculpted as this one?

4 Dragons: Fire, which is the one you have up there.

Earth

Water

Air

The Dragon of Void was never made into a model, so technically, only 4 of the 5 rings are represented.

If you're interested in the rest, they are being reproduced by Valiant in Resin:

Some of them are almost certainly worth a few quid.

I shifted a load of pre-slottas on eBay over the last week. Won't picture them all. Warzone stuff seems to have gained value, a year or so ago I was going to get rid of some stuff and found that it was selling for almost nothing, but I looked again last week and suddenly people are paying for those old boxes, got rid of some Mishima samurai for £27.

This figure alone sold for £28.

There's money in these pre-slottas, I'm going to start keeping an eye open at wargames shows because people typically dump them for nothing. The trick is you know your stuff and be able to list it on eBay with specific details, this for instance was part of the Fantasy Specials range, "FS6-1 Dungeon Torturess"

RT era (1990) MK2 armored marines. 3 in a blister!

They are for sale (individually or the full blister) if anyone's interested and want's to PM me an offer...

Here's a few things I've sold in the past that I haven't removed the pictures of. Some of which I should have kept

GW Warriors series Genghis Kahn and Owen of Wales(early 90's IIRC) Wish I hadn't sold these!

The full set of Bob Olley Sculpted "Space Dwarves" by Simtac. (Early 90's)

Spacelords Bunker Breaker by Metal Magic (early 90's)

I've bought and sold alot of spacelords stuff just for the chance to see them in person, but I've kept the Sardaykin that I will paint someday.

RT Era metal troopers. (around 1990)

This thread keeps getting better!

I recently catalogued my own collections and discovered some R era Imperial Guard and Warriors of Chaos (Circa 1987), including champions and sorcerors.

Might ebay them one day if I never paint them.
