Sorry about the lack of recent updates. Been dealing with some hefty RL stuff. (My father was diagnosed about a month ago with stage IV Pancreatic cancer) I've been playing backup adult to keep tabs on him so my mother can get some work done as well as take care of herself...

Anyhoo on to the good stuff.

Got some Molds poured (waiting on the RTV to cure before I cast anything... but here are the in progress pics of what these molds will be of.

The knurled grip of an exacto knife/gw type sculpting tool.

Just pulled the second pour of bases from the small (standard GW infantry) size bases, and some of the 40mm sized (termie) bases they came out really well...

Yes. Probably very fiddly as a 1 piece, but definitely doable as a 2piece.

The window bit is not glued in- perhaps it can be cast separately as an insert?

I was also thinking of some sort of buttresses similar in design to these to hide the joins between panels?

Because the Window bit is rare, and OOP... i'd like to have it back if at all possible, the rest of the masters are yours as always

..And I'll be shipping you something to do with that fresh batch soon!
..On that DVD i watched, the guy built a vacuum chamber to suck all the air out of the batch..It's wicked..it bubbles, and rises, then slowly settles back down when all the air is out.

ah Degassing... I havent done that yet... (no $ for vac chamber) and I use an Ultra thin (til it cures anyway) RTV sillicone (mold star 30) so no real need to do that for what I'm casting...

Awesome, also am waiting on a box from Skalk.

De-gassing by pressure or by vibration. Both good techniques. Vibration is much, much cheaper, but requires more effort. Pressure chamber is best for production runs.

In the DVD, he was using a homemade vacuum chamber, it appeared to be powered by a shop-vac, it was pretty cool, he also had a homemade vacu-former that was pretty sweet!
