Traitorous scum retrieved their objective and ran like cowards they are(okay they won with that)
Lancer knights showed their power taking down warlord. Did result all lancers, one(only) loyal lancer and 2/3 traitor questor knights dying as well though when warlord collapsed over them

Army of the dead vs dwarves. Initially even. Def8 and him having banner and higher fight kept casualties low for both. Then 2 turns i rolled lots of 6's for fight which turned the tide

Resident evil board game scenario 3A. I made it to the end and saved Marvin but Claire completely ran out of ammo towards the end and spent a couple of turns just waiting for Leon.

Army of the dead against moria goblins. Gobbo courage vs all terror army. Add to that d7/8 and it was rough going to gobbos. Scenario that discouraged bunching up and eased getting stuff out of fury range didn't help and as king got line into shaman and trap and things went downhill fast. Too fast as game ended turn too fast for me to consolidiate objectives. Was killing them too fast and also was too eager to go to combat. Should have just swarmed objectives and let breaktests finish him

The Gingerbread Cup was fought between the never-do-wells of Reikland Recruits (ex-criminals all), engineering students of Karaz Azak (sponsored by Ponsse forestry) and the lightning-fast lizards of Quetzla Thunderbolts, proper league superstars on holiday. My lizards gave the newcomers some good bashin' but damn if I just couldn't roll any rerollable dodges all day. Nice to coach new players in, though.
That price though, uff. Our guts will scream mercy for days

Good job with the print out. I have the rules and the British, Spanish and Early/Late War French cards that came in the Peninsular war box. I'd like to pick up the rest of the faction cards at some point, since they make playing the game super simple and much cheaper than painting miniatures.

Riders of rohan went for first outing. Went to combat too fast(i have bows, he doesn't. Thin them a bit...) and initial charge was utter failure. Wasn't helped by terrain causing slight bottleneck along with troll.
Things went to south when with me's went to him and in one turn he killed 6 vs my 0.
When troll killed banner and i was outnumbered things looked bleak with force broken. However troll lost 2 combat rounds and game continued long and suddenly my charges started to work swinging wounds to me. Last turn it was captain vs 3, reqular rider vs 3 and theoden vs 5 plus troll with my charge. Won all killing 6 orcs...
Caused 20 wounds, he spent fate and i killed his big boss. He killed 12 and caused faith spent. Both broken. Win for rohan! Costly one though...

That troll sure is scary! 3 attacks, auto win if he rolls 6 and splats my poor riders like nothing. And unlike when I played with army of the dead troll can charge at will! I got really saved when twice in a row he rolled 2 as highest allowing me to win. Even caused wound but more than that simply keeping my troops alive!
I think big mistake was T2 all out charge. I quickly realized I should wait until he gets initiave. If he moves out of range fine. I had bows, he didn't. He's not going to do because if he doesn't push in for combat I win by default as I can just pepper him with arrows until game ends! If he stays in my charge range charge. If I win priority move to at least 13" away from him so he can't move twice in row to reach.
Then when he has initiave and allows me to charge(sooner or later he has to do that...)...Well this far I did. But rather than do all out charge I should split my army. About half, maybe bit more charge initial line. Rest stays back. Why? Next round if I lose priority or with me roll off what happened now doesn't happen and I get swamped without charge bonuses...With 2nd wave I can charge the charging infantry reducing outnumbered fights and giving me extra attacks.
Would have lost this game big time if game hadn't continued so much and in the end suddenly started killing orcs left and right. Particularly my 2 heroes suddenly started rampaging. Theoden killing 3 orcs in one turn, Captain another 2...
Final combat with 5+troll vs Theoden was just insult to injury. I would have won game even had I lost and Theoden died(very likely event).

New regalia maniple went against 2 venator. This was deliberate match up as we figure regalia might be particularly tough matchup vs venator(2 here) as venator depends on knocking shields and regalia makes that tough. As demonstrated by needing 5 warhounds with 5 vulcans among them to knock them out!
Game was won by mortis with victorum being too cautious. They neves made dash at retrieving objective and then just had no time. Oops.

Irradiated rains of Ager Formosus never cease. The Raptor Scout kill team approached the ruined sector of the old colony mentioned by their in situ contact in the more modern mining colony. Syras Klayde, the scout team communication specialist gestured to the points where his auspex revealed the location of the missing Raven Guard Termninators to the kill team leader, Aevar Moradus. The comm spec frowned as he did this and Aevar knew exactly why. The entire Raptor scout squad did. Those terminator suits were dead center in a kill box with limited escape routes. A perfect place to setup an ambush to the unwary or rash.
The Raptor scouts' mission was to locate, investigate and, if possible, recover the armor and gene seed of the terminators who failed to return several hours ago and assumed dead. The Raptor kill team fortified their resolve and spaced themselves out in fire teams as they prowled into the kill box. Each member hoping that both time and hostile weather forced any would be assassins from this trap. Vykus Vaanes, the heavy bolter operator, even thought to himself, 'Short of terminator armor or possibly Skitarii, none could withstand the constant radiation from the storm to still be watching the sector.' He was only half correct...
There was but a soft, low buzz and crackle of quickly evaporating rain as the necrons of the Nihilakh Dynasty phased back into real space. The Deathmarks' of the small team sensing the immanent detection of their presence by the space marine scouts. Aevar Moradus accessed the situation and determined that scout squad should at least make a single attempt to recover the terminator armor before falling back. It would be several days before the scouts could cleanse there bodies of the radiation they absorbed and the Necron presence was not nearly large enough extinguish any hope of mission success. However, the Raptors had to ensure the Necrons could not cut off their limited escape routes. To do otherwise would mean death. The Raptor scout kill team also had to work quickly as they are already beginning to feel the early signs of acute radiation poisoning. Success or failure, they still had to hump it all the way back to the protective domes of the mining colony.
This was the early part of a Kill Team game featuring Raptor Chapter Space Marines vs. Nihilakh Dynasty Necrons. It ended in a tie as neither side to secure one of the objective markers. The Necrons were going for the scarabs and the Space Marines going for the terminators. Neither side could have an enemy model nearby to capture it and the game was 6 rounds long. Both kill teams had units near objectives, they just couldn't shift the enemy off them to claim them before the end of round 6.

Favilla vs. Mortis, warhounds for days. This one Mortis cur sure seemed like it was blessed by Nurgle or something, as it alone weathered most of my battleline and threw like 20 2+ Void saves without burning its generators! Argh. Small solace that it eventually died next turn when I got under its shields, as even then it spited me by exploding on the graveyard of smoldering engines.
All the explosions. All of them. This desert is thoroughly glass after this battle.
