So how much does the dice god like you? Are you lucky or have you fallen out of his favour?
I think all this depends on your opinion of yourself, as "lucky" people tend to only remember the sixes they roll, and vice versa. So if you consider yourself unlucky, then you will always feel yourself proven right when you roll badly, even though it doen't happen more often to you then to others. I was wondering how many of you are lucky or unlucky, and examples are welcome.
I for my part am lucky, I always get two hits from three ork-shots. Once i was talking about me and my two unlucky mates' dice; I said look I can prove it, this is mine: (me: surprised) then i roll again, this time announcing: "that'd be my unlucky brother.... WTF! it worked! So I roll a third time, now poining at my unlucky friend: two! BAM! In da face!!
See? I can order my dice around. It seems that if I announce something, it'll come true (reality is that i jut forget about all the times it didn't work )
Post your experience!

It's uncanny sometimes and the wife loves sowing fear of it when we play Settlers of Catan.
Happened at 'Ard Boyz for one of the most important saves at the climax and received a slack jawed stare for it as I sheepishly picked up the die.
When it's hot, you'd think I was cheating.

Whenever I field my Terminators, they all die, at the very latest, in the third turn and I have only once managed to destroy an Ork Trukk. I lose pretty much every game I play, and most of the time it's due to bad dice rolls. On the other hand my Assault Marines usually get good rolls. Part of why I love them. That's not really enough, though...
So I voted for option number three.

The Dice god seems to like my using of green. When I play Orks I can hit nearly all the time at the times its mosted needed (like that one Kustom Kombi Blasta shot that kills a HQ), I always get 6's when running etc.
If I use my spacewolves they would be better off sticking the bolters in their mouths and pulling the trigger.....even then they would probably miss.
Tis funny as my real life dice are on time out, but when I play vassal, they are money. Maybe its because my computer likes some of the upgrades I bought it, and is repaying me in the form of altering my miniature dice game in my favor.
The best thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's far too late to stop reading it.

Can't really vote do to lack of options... But for me the "dice god" has his moments. I will occasionally roll like a pile of dung, but at the same time I sometimes go entire games as if I am the dice god incarnate!
I feel like shooting wise with my guard that I have faired very well, on the saves however lies my downfall. I always, I mean always seem to be able to pull off huge BS with Marbo's rolls.
My brother rolls horrible with his orks, no matter what. If he doing his Waaahh its always a one all around. He normally flips out and ends up breaking a model, or even better one of mine...
I feel the gods are on my side.

2200+ points guard
WIP 3000+ point praetorian renegade army.
500+ points tyranid all OOP and wip
The dice god and I have this love/hate relationship. I always, always fail more armor/ward/invul/etc saves than average, but when I need that almighty, epic one dice result(like a HKB wound from my Cockatrice against my opponent's HPA) the dice god pulls me through more than he fails me at such epic moments.
I fail horribly on mundane things, and have spectacular luck with it comes down to the wire.
That is, the Dice God likes to screw with me until the last minute.
There are some who walk until their legs fail them and they fall to the ground. I find that respectable.
Then there are those who drag themselves further. I find that admirable.
I seem to have units that do better and worse...and also dice...
Standard GW dice - the black dice are hot, I mean, HOT. Never let me down. However the red dice are just broken beyond belief. Over two turns I failed to hit once with my Broadsides. Re-roll 4+s and I couldn't hit the backside of a barn.
Bring out the black dice when I need that Fusion Blaster one shot to the back armour of a tank and BAM. HITS, DESTROYS!
I love the fickleness of dice and I love the reaction of gamers, inc myself at them.
My luck is a great and terrible thing to behold. It averages out over the game but when I need a shot I miss. When I roll 5 5++ inv saves they all make it. But I've come to writing out the rolls in a notepad and sure enough, over the course of a game the dice average out.

d6's are fine but D20's. It's like the dice god (or whoever he delegates polyhedral dice too) hates me. I think its because I play a CE PC in a group of LG/NGPCs. They think I'm on the GM's side.
The dice gods despise me. The amount of times I have had to roll a simple 2+ to win a game of 40k or to polish off a Goblin in a game of WHFB and was left staring at 1 instead.....grrrrrr!
Unless I need to roll low of course, in which case up pop the 5's and 6's...... I need to appease them somehow.
Maybe a sacrificial lamb is order, possibly Pierce Morgan or Calvin Mackenzie.....
I truly believe Im the beginning of the first step towards humans evolving into the Orks. If I believe it hard enough, I can make small things happen. My Ork shooting for example is usually above average with spirts of fething sniper shooting. Infact the last game I played, was against a Tau player, and I rolled so many 6s I thought I was cheating
AndI almost never fail Ld tests, rarely will I have to default to the BP. So yea, I think Gork n Mork are showing me a wee bit of favor
The dice gods are perpetually displeased with me. I have six dice blocks. They all roll pretty cruddy - CONSISTENTLY.
Here's a typical example of how my dice like to screw with me. Game is Warmachine
Start game with needing to kill some enemy infantry before they wreck my face. To do so, need 5's to hit, and 5's to wound on 2D6 (5+ on 2D6 is 83.3%). I have 12 tries, needing 6 successes. Actual successes? 2. Result: They charge and wipe 20% of my list right off the bat. Contingency plan. Move 10 guys in to tarpit the enemy. They have tough. Normal tough rolls result in 33.3% chance of survival - I need 2 guys to live to tarpit them.. For me? 0 chance apparently. Contingency plan, break a hole through their formation and make a last ditch effort to pull the game out of the fire by running my warcaster in there for a kill. To kill the guys in the way, need 7's to hit and 3's to wound. There are 3 in the way. Success? Removed 2 offending models. Contingency plan. Run the warcaster in taking a free strike. Will win on AVERAGE ROLLS. Have 6 attacks needing 7's to hit, doing 2D6-3 damage. Result: 3 misses, and 1 roll of 3 on damage. Result... totally whiffed attack and die to the counterattack.
At the same time, the dice gods will spit in my eye by letting me roll 11's and 12's where I needed 2's or 3's to hit, and then give me fantastic 3's and 4's resulting in 0 damage... totally negating that good luck on the to-hit roll.
Thanks dice gods. Thanks a lot.
The real kicker was once I had to make an attack needing 5 on 3D6 with a reroll. Result: Triple ones. Result of the reroll? Triple ones.

I never use plasma, because on my first shot of the game I almost always roll a 1 for Gets Hot! and then another 1 for my armour save... the Dice God is a jerk to me.
Well I guess to even it out, I seem to roll poorly for scatters. Oh yea, and the nob in my boyz unit, for the last couple games Ive played, the first round of assault, you know the GOOD one, those nobz always seem to roll 1s 2s to hit and then 1s to wound. So the first round they will kill 1 guy from ALL my boyz units. So I guess that evens out my shooting
I said average, as I play daemons, and my deep strikes either go perfectly. As in nothing gets hurt and lil bit of scatters, but everything survives. Or 3/5 squads deep striking mishap, all of which get destroyed. Or my personal favorite, I Jumped fateweaver into difficult terrain. Rolled a 1, 3++ invuln..rolled a 2, reroll, roll a 1. Leadership...double sixes.....Worst beginning to a game ever...
otherwise, my dice are fairly average, I have great games where fateweaver never dies, and horrible games where 3 missles made him run off the board.

The Dice God is not a fan of me or my armies. The number of times I have rolled poorly could be defined as most times I play a game. You just have to laugh at yourself....because the Dice God is doing it too.

It is frankly random, however the dice gods seems to favor my Hydra gauntlets a lot. So far, I have nearly only rolled sixes for extra attacks.

With me it seems to go back and forth by turn or games.
The best example I can think of are my Lancia da 90/53s in Flames of War. One turn, I roll 5 (out of 6) hits on my friends shermans, and he fails all but one of his armor saves, and I pass all 4 of my firepower tests (needing 3+), and destroy all 4 tanks.
The next turn I fire at his other sherman platoon, and only hit with 2, he makes one save, and I fail my firepower, so one of his tanks is bailed out.
This seems to be the way it goes, either me rolling very good one turn and terrible the next, or rolling good one game and terrible the next.
