I'm loving the marbling... well done! Those grey tons in the black armor really help show the depth and detail well.

Did you green-stuff-create the Templar symbol?

It looks nice indeed, only flaw I can spot this instant is that your 'blending' of colours is kinda rough. If you look at the tabard. Or.. whatever that thing is called. Other than that it looks quite eye soothing.

Yeah, this is what I'm least happy with. The client has allowed me to hang on to this for GDUK, so I'll be tweaking that to smooth it out, especially on the back. I'll also build a plinth and perhaps push the highlights on the black toward white on the upper edges.

I'm not a huge fan of the cracked white on the shoulder(it's not that THIS model I don't like it, I don't like the technique on any model). Other than that, A+ work. This is probably my favorite 40k model.

Great model winterdyne. I really like the subtle highlights, as opposed to the really stark highlights some people like to do with black. Also, if you don't mind me asking, how did you do the sword blade? It looks amazing.

The sword blade is effectively NMM with the same colours as the armour (so black / black grey / codex grey). The tricky bit is the engraved gold writing. This is best done by glossing the sword (allow to dry) and thin down some gold with flow improver (I use a mix of VMC old gold, VMA gold and a W&N acrylic flow improver). Paint this over the engraved area, making sure it gets in the cracks. The gloss will help with capillary action, drawing the paint in. Then with a cotton bud, wipe away the gold from the surface (the gloss will help here too - with a smooth surface there's nowhere for the paint to stick to). Once it's wiped away and dry you can tidy up with black / black grey and matt the sword down again.

That cracked white on the shoulderpad is bloody amazing. How'd you do it, if you don't mind me asking?

Very good!
Although, the red could have been a very small bit lighter, also the brown pouch could have used a slighty lighter highlight...
I love the black, and the cracked shoulderpad.

Sweet Jesus, Nurgle and Slaanesh in the same box!?
