Does anyone have a good source of female heads for IG figures? I'd love to have a mixed IG contingent, but am having no luck finding any type of head or conversion kit for this. Probably just not looking in the right place. Thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Chapter house?

You can also look at eldar/elf/dark eldar/dark elf heads. They have female models.

I've tried dark elf heads, I've tried fully masked GW stuff and something just looks wrong with them. Those Chapter house ones are the best I've seen.

Heads may be not enough. Here some conversion kits or female guard models:

Thanks for all of the responses. I think in the end I may go with the conversion pack. I thought I saw it being sold by The Warstore, but I'll have to obviously double-check. Curious, was it just me or do the individual heads from Hasslefree not have hair on them? Also, any suggestions on non-helmeted male heads, other than those listed? I'd like to do a mix of helmeted and non-helmeted as well, and don't like the idea of buying a box something for the 10 heads inside. Thanks again.

Ditto. I like them, I'm actually going to put in an order today. Only female guardsman I've got is a custom build officer I made years ago from a metal cadian officer. Hacked off the legs and the head and used piece from.. I think it was the Empire range and I don't remember what for the head. I've been patiently waiting for the new Sisters codex because it's very likely we'll be getting new sisters models... plastic models... with female heads. Now I might not have to wait!

Was just looking and noticed the ones in the picture were listed as 32mm scale... make a big difference?

Just in case anyone was wondering. I wrote the company that makes the sci-fi conversion pack (see above for picture) and they are 28mm scale and work fine with GW bits. They also told me that there's a Russian pack coming in a few days... I don't know what that entails, but I'm going to hold off ordering for a few days.

Well that's an interesting development. Vostroyans or Valhallans, I presume?

That conversion pack is nice, and it doesnt, atleast from the photo here, over emphasise the bust on these girls. But the only real issue i've ever had with female conversions, when you put them togeather, the legs and arms tend to look oversized compaired to the rest of them. Does anyone have compelted examples of these girls?

Oh stop complaining, its for the greater good... Now get in the box!

I believe chapterhouse also has something in the works, may be worth a PM to him. Dark eldar would be a good source and some fantasy ranges.

The USS Orinoco was a Federation Danube-class runabout that was in service with Starfleet in the late 24th century, attached to Deep Space 9. It was outfitted with a sensor pod.

If you're willing to do a bit more work, then Hasslefree do a couple of sets of female head blanks. They have faces but no ears or hair or anything like that. I've used one for my Nova conversion and need ot use another at some point for my Medic:

I've been tempted to get some of the banshee sets from them, but been hesitant because I can't see how the individual pieces look, just that one pic of them put togather.

If you're tempted buy 1, see how it is.

For helmeted heads, has anyone tried just adding greenstuff hair/plaits hanging down below the helmet? Hmm, could even re-use some of the existing long hair/beard bits from the various dwarf/marauder/space wolf plastics

Dumb question, but do the normal Cadian boxes come with empty helmets? I like the conversion pack more, but the Chapterhouse models are growing on me. Has anyone bought any of the Chapterhouse figures? How well do they match-up with existing GW product?

Nearly all cadian sprues come with a free helmet.

Edit: oh I misread your post, let me check.

Edit2: Yes, I'm also certain heavy weapons and command sprue have one.
