Yeah just take cybork. With 'eavy armour there is too much weaponry that will negate the armour with all the heavy bolters and meltas out there. At least with cybork body you are gonna get your save pretty much all the time.

Agree, if you have a painboy, all cyborked. Any weapons actually dangerous to FNP nobz ignore 4+ armor anyway.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe.

Plus uh......like 8 for me. Cybork and FNP. Eavy armor is really a waste of points, unless you playing a huge ass game where those points wont really make a difference

compare fnp to EA:

cost:
fnp: 30 (to upgrade one nob to painboy)
ea: 15-50, depends on squad size

effectiveness:
ea: protects you from ap-, ap6 and ap5
fnp: protects you from ap4 and ap3 as well, but doesn't protect you against S8+, wich on the other hand usually has good ap so armor wouldn't protect you either.

go for cyborg, because that cant be ignored.

Maybe use armor in tiny units in wich a painboy woudnt be worth his points

LOOK!! a shameless self-promotion! (gasp!)

In that case, rather go for mega-armor

I run 'eavy armour and cybork - though that it mainly just to eat up points. However, I find it useful in two cases - against massed light arms fire and massed non power weapon attacks in H2H. Seeing as I usually face IG with mass blobs - this tends to come in real handy for me...

Don't forget that if you screen with boyz or grotz You'll have a 4+ cover save, only ignored by barrage weapons (and tau SMS ...meh) followed by FNP. Very tough unit to crack.

Been out of the game for awhile, trying to find time to get back into it.

Actually that depends on where the hole is in the blast marker. Barrage weapons dont automatically ignore cover.

True but you get the main point - screening with cheep-o grotz is a good way to maintain survivability in your foot squads. Tyranids do it with gribblies.

And yea I agree with that. Learning to screen effectively is a skill any aspiring Ork player needs to know.
