Recently GW has resurrected many beasts and monsters from the very first edition of 40k such as Jokaero and Razorwings.
By the way, should we consider Gyrinx (a pet cat for psykers) canon and hope that GW would make their new miniature?

They haven't been retconned but i doubt they will be present in an army list such as the jokaero.

I Hope they will be released with the 5th (or even 6th) Edition of Eldar as non-Forge World Nightwing and more Apocalypse stuff.
But often hope is the first...

A Gyrinx recently appeared in A FFG Rogue Trader adventure so its sort of officially back - would def make a good new model for Inquisitors, Dark and normal Eldar.

See Farseer Petrial's avatar for a picture.
It's an alien cat-like creature used by psykers as a familiar (it could also augment the abilities of its owner).

There are so many creatures floating around the warhammer 40k universe, so don't get your hopes up on the Grinx.

Use one as a familiar for an Inquisitor, that works with the fluff. (assuming Inquisitors can still have familiars? I haven't read the GK codex.)

Gyrinx is a popular familiar of Eldar Farseers. Given the new Mat Ward direction, Ordo Xenos (Xeno hunters turned Xeno lovers) will field them too.
BTW, here a pic of the rare and OOP official GW model:

When my glacial rate of production allows it, I want to do a Gyrinx familiar for my High Warlock. I have absolutely no idea how to do the concept justice, though. As it stands, they really are just psychic space-cats.

I know about this model but it's very hard to find, especially in my country.
I have made a Gyrinx for my Farseer and I asked this question because I hope that some time it'll enhance his psionic powers.
My Gyrinx is black and white which contradicts the RT description but I believe that there are different breeds of Gyrinx in the Galaxy.
sirrah, it's made of Green Stuff and it wasn't hard for me to do.
And who is the High Warlock?

Nice effort, I love the death-glare, this is a kitty you do not feth with. That was sort of my point, though. Visually, the Gyrinx needs to be exaggerated in a manner that makes it something more than a pretty big housecat.
High Warlocks are the Harlequin Farseer-equivalent. I guess they're Shadowseers now (or High Shadowseers?).

As you see on this art, the Gyrinx look more like house cats rather than lynxes or lions.
That gyrinx has only unusually clever face.
And yes, Harlequins have Shadowseers now.

I like these miniatures and especially separate cats - a crazy cat lady won't be a good stand-in for an Eldar Warlock or an Imperial Inquisitor
