Hi Guys,

Second post. Like my honourable colleague Digits my intentions here are to just show you finished items, and like Digits I have a love of all things Guard notably Cadians and anything associated with Cadia. I'm not quite as prolific as he is ( times are hard on Cadia) and so for his 10 chimera I will only have the 5. We do however egg each other on particularly when its time for our yearly Guard on Guard mega battles with a couple of other like minded types.

Mech Platoon

Engineer vehicle inspired by the Greman half track with the brigdging sections for small gap crossing

demolisher with mine plow

the recovery vehicle shown on the display table in Digits thread.

and yes terrain is an important part of the hobby for me

the map table for the HQ tent

Ok thats a taster. I hope you like it. Just doing this I have realised how disorganised my pictures are so I may well use this thread as an oportunity to rectify that a bit and to show you my stuff unit by unit.
Thanks for looking

I really love all these guys coming out of the woodwork with good looking, military model-esque Guard armies. I'd love to see some more shots of your infantry! From what I see your painting is really solid.

Check out my Youtube channel!

Thank you kind sir! Dont know about solid but they do the trick for me. Mostly. There are days when it looks like I've tried to paint something with a one inch brush!!
Ok so a few troops including some chaos militia ( My boys need something to shoot at after all and there are a couple of us working on a codex based around the forces of chaos during the Black crusade(s)) I must apologise but my photography mojo is very weak. Another challenge!

chaos militia stubber crew

Cadian Airborne

Combat engineer Veterans

Dorac Ursids ( Cadian Mountain troops- based in the Dorac Alps)

team of military Provost

Interior Guard veterans

And to demonstrate the depth of my madness....

This is the battlegroup order of battle. There have been a couple of changes since I first did this. The Lighting squadron has been redesignated for example and some of the units dont yet exist. I Have one solitary Jouran Dragoon- always loved Storm of Iron and they are listed in the Eye of Terror codex as are the Drookian Fen Guard. I will be getting some of the Victoria Lamb conversion kits for that.

Thanks for looking

How did you do the Engineer vehicle

Quite straightforward really the bridges are just plasticard and just the addition of a few bits on the back using the winch/ammo lifter from a devastator on the back.
a few WIP pics here

Be my guest.
As I do 'em I'll post 'em
They are still in their Infancy. I tend to do platoon (UK platoon so Command and 3 squads plus mission specific attachments ) sized units. so far I have about a squad and a half's worth in various stages of construction. There is also a partly completed ChinValk. A chinnook sized valkiry variant. That is a while off yet probably Christmas before that gets completed

Looking good. Lots of character in your force. I am lacking inspiration for my guard regiment, and might just steal the idea of doing different troopers. (airborne, engineers etc)

Like the OOB to, looking forward to seeing more of this

Love the extra detail you've added to everything. The paint work is above table top and the terrain effects on the board and bases is the best part of your work! Nice job!
