Hello everyone!
I want to share with you some details on a project I've started recently - a grot gunslinger.
It began with me sitting at my friend's flat, staring pointlessly at frames of DE Wych set. I came to realize that a pair of their fancy pistols would look rather cool at hands of one of my grots.
The concept of pistol dual-wielding always appealed to me and there are many charismatic fictional characters utilizing this style of combat. So all I had to do is to chose a right model.
Of all the above mentioned characters this one is one of my favorite:

Cad Bane from the Clone Wars animation series is an accomplished scoundrel, skillful bounty hunter and one of the most notorious criminals of his time. With his stylish outfit and sizable arsenal of gadgetry he makes more than suitable pattern to copy.
Here is the body of my future green outlaw. Lacking details and polish but with all major components done - his duster, rocket boots, wrist-mounted rocket launcher and a pair of pistols.

The head is on the way and comments are as always highly appreciated.

Almost finished this guy:
- Made a head with augmented eye and a hat
- Added some details
- Smoothed the GS
- Made a base

Take a look, fellas

I'm pretty happy with the result and what do you think of him?

He's looking good. Not 100% sure about the eyes, but that's your call.

Any ways of adding some orkness to him? He looks very clean... maybe the hat color of a marking on the back?

A lot of character! Will the duster be sweeping backward a bit more, or do you intend to keep it a tad more understated?

A Squeaky Waaagh!!

Camkhieri: "And another very cool thing, my phones predictive text actually gave me chicken as an option after typing robot, how cool is that."'

Meercat: "All eyes turned to the horizon and beheld, in lonely and menacing grandeur, the silhouette of a single Grot robot chicken; a portent of evil days to come."

So... I had to look in the gallery proppa to see yer pics, but now that I have I must say- WOW Those are GOOD! Effing incredible conversions for the size of the model, packed full of character. I think the loota is my favorite, but it's honestly hard to say for sure.

As for how I started the post., I can't see the pics on this thread. It might just be me, but I could see them in the gallery.

I agree, a little dynamic blowing of the duster would not be amiss.

His left arm especially looks more DE than ork.

Keep it up!

About the eye - I like when character stats are somehow represented on the model and an eye targeter is an obvious way to explain his better than average grot BS. For his clean look - this is all up to paint

Thanks mate! Glad you liked them As for pics - I used google picasa instead of dakka's album for this images so maybe that is the case. Not sure though =/

I was thinking about it for a long time before sculpting. Surely it would add to overall dinamics but the duster tail should be quite long to make a waving motion... He's short after all and the idea of him sweeping the floors with it was too comical for my liking

It does =( but I'm out of ideas atm.

- WARNING! -
I decided to stick with THAT thread for my future posts and updates, sorry for inconvinience!
