I would steal a Rhino from one of the CSM Squads and give it to the Chosen. Give you an extra 14 inches on your Outflank. The Squad without the Rhino can park on a home objective, or walk on from Reserve.

Not sure how long the defiler is going to hold up. It's a big threat, but only AV 12, and the hightest AV on your side of the table.
You might be able to swap it for another squad of chosen.

Or an AV13 Last Pred.

rhinoe from plauges goes to chosen and then plasma up the plauges...

You might do OK against some MEQ builds but you're going to get shot off the table by Guard, Razorspam, or Mech BA. Honest assessment from someone who used to run 3x3 Oblits, 2x Lash Sorcerors, 4x5 PM 2x specials squads and a counterassault Zerker unit at 1,850. You've got 150 more points to play with and the list is less threatening.

that list is 1 step from the army that won best gernal last Tshift and got best record in ard boys in the state... its not a bad army... just need refinment... you need to be a little nicer with your posts nuggz... you sounded like an ass with that one...

and trust me, 3v3 oblits with 2 lash princes is very much less powerfull then that current army... you overspend on one little trick that doesnt do much anymore...

I run a list very similar to this, but I'm confused why you're not using some of the best Troops at your disposal; mainly Khorne Berserkers and Plague Marines.

You can get 7 Plague Marines with 2 Meltas and A rhino for 1 point more than 10 CSM with the same loadout. If you do some RNG math, you'll see that they will survive better in combat than 10 CSM.

KBs are great for going after enemy objectives. They are a little more expensive at 243 for 8 (champ with Powerfist and Rhino), but that Champ will probably inflict 3 wounds all by himself every turn. Without a PW or PF, you have no guarantee of doing that with CSM.

Drop the SLD and grab one more Oblit. Run a single group of 3 and use them to drop Plasma Cannons on whatever you Lash. Nasty combo.

To each his own, obviously. I don't believe in cookie-cutter lists, but I know what works for me, and what tends to be a waste of points.

Not sure why the Chosen have mix of special weapons. If you're firing meltas at tanks or elite infantry then the flamers will probably do nothing. If you fire flamers at infantry then meltas won't do a fat lot. It's not good to mix weapon synergy for versality as it creates bad synergy no matter how good you think it is. One weapon will also be next to useless in a certain situation.

Terminators don't need a reaper cannon. It's rubbish and expensive for the points (35?) and it's best you drop it.

Not sure why you've got units of 10 CSM to get double meltas when you can get 5 x Plague Marines with fnp, t5 and blight grenades, oh and double meltas for 170 points including transport. That's 45 points per unit saved which is 180 points in total, another Plague Marine unit!

Well. I play Night Lords so.. plague marines... not really... gonna.. work.. I know the cookie cutter says to just spam plague marines, but I've found the added close combat potency, and the price of the standard CSM, not to mention the additional bodies it affords, seems to be working for me.

I agree about the mixed weapons in the Chosen squad.

If you're going for fluff, then your list is understandable. For some reason, I didn't see any mention of this being a themed list.....else I wouldn't have tendered the suggestion. Did I miss it? Or was it never mentioned before?

True. But I'm trying to remain competetive... and raptors are REALLY bad.

If there was a way to make them Troops, I'd be all over using them. /sigh

Well that's fine, but a fluff list isn't competitve. So without Plague Marines this will never be a competitve list I'm sorry to say. Dudes with T5 and feel no pain are just superior. They also do combat more or less the same, same attacks at least plus blight grenades are defensive grenades so probably do assault better.

Also you don't need 5 meltas in a Chosen unit. Only two guys can fire from the hatch and you want them INSIDE the tank as long as possible.
