Surprised we don't have one yet. Surely other Americans here follow the NFL?
Anyways, after becoming the first QB to throw for 400 yards in his debut and then for 400 yards in back to back games, Cam Newton is currently sucking it at 15/30 for just 111 yards.
Michael Vick is on pace for 3000+ passing yards and 1000+ rushing yards. Last year he was on pace for 4000 and 1000, but he gets hurt all the time so he'll be lucky to get either this year.
The Kansas City Chiefs would probably get pounded by a top10 d1 team right now.
Somehow Detroit is 2-0 and in a close game with Minnesota AT Minnesota.
New Orleans is 11 minutes away from being 1-2. Granted if they lose both losses would be to Houston (would be 3-0), and the defending Super Bowl Champions. Still, they are not looking like a legit contender.
Houston is doing well, which is great for Texas, because Dallas and Mr. Overrated Romo suck.
Incredibly early prediction, Green Bay vs New England in the Super Bowl. Final score will be in the mid to high 30s, could go either way, but I think coaching and experience will win out for New England against the amazing Mr. Rodgers and his neighborhood (which is currently low on fences of the D type).

What do you mean "somehow" on Detroit. Have you watched them develop the last 3 years?

You mean going 6-10 last year, 2-14 the year before, and 0-16 before that.
There's a slight trend of improvement, but they've gone from "Worst Team Ever" to "merely mediocre." Not that impressive.

That's exactly what i mean. 3-0 not impressive. What NFL you watch? I'm not an Lions fans and definitely anti NFC, but it is what it is. Lions are doing great from where they've been. It shouldn't be hard to recognize that.

Irony is having an 0-2 record when you pass for over 400 yards and 1-0 record when you pass for less than 200.
Green Bay's secondary is playing like crap.

That was a 4th quarter melt down if ever there was one. You can't give up 23 points in 1 quarter. I had hoped the Texans had put their 4th quarter "We were just kidding around the first 3 quarters. You can have the ball now. We don't feel like winning today." mentality behind them. They gave up so many games in the past two seasons in the 4th quarter. It's still early in the season and it was New Orleans, who have an explosive offense.
The Colts/Steelers game last night was much closer than I would have expected. As a Texans fan, I root for any team the Colts play. Thankfullly, the Steelers held onto the ball finally and put that one away.

That final punt return was insane. Really, the entire coverage goes in the opposite direction of the ball? /facepalm
I don't think the Bears would've won even if the return was counted, but it was a terrible play by GB nonetheless.

Yeah, but then again the Packers reduced the Bear's running game to almost nothing. Although the big criticism against the Packers was that Matthews and the other defensive linemen didn't get a sack on Cutler until late in the game. Besides, the punt return only got 9 yards, without the penalty.

That penalty looked like a bad call. I still think the Packers had it at that point, but that play was just pathetic. If there was a hold it was a complete non factor.
They really need to tighten up their secondary. Getting lots of interceptions does not make up for giving up excessive amount of yards and completely blowing coverage multiple times this year.
Right now the only way they're getting back to the Superbowl is because their offense is usually great, Aaron Rodgers is the top QB, #2 at the very least, and the rest of the NFL doesn't look particularly strong.

Newton, although not doing poorly, isn't doing amazing. He's put up a lot of yards, but also thrown for 4 picks, has less than a 60% completion rate, and been sacked 8 times (yes I know sacks aren't totally his fault). And as you can see by his record, throwing for a lot of yards doesn't win games.
Rodgers is probably the best QB in the league at the moment. Although Tom Brady isn't far behind. But, Rodgers has a 72% completion rate, only 1 pick, 8 TDs, and most importantly... 3 wins.
QB I've been most impressed with (aside from the obvious Rodgers and until this last game, Brady): Andy Dalton. 60+% completion rate, and this is with no targets. His last game wasn't great, but considering the Bengals are starting their #4 receiver due to injuries and 8.5 pounds of pot, it's still not bad. Really going to be interesting seeing what him and AJ Green end up doing later in the year as they get settled.
EDIT:
As for the Packers/Bears play, I'm actually kind of surprised this doesn't happen slightly more often. Once or twice a season, really. The coverage guys aren't watching the ball, they are watching the return man. So getting fooled like that isn't out of the question at all. Brilliant play, really.

The Packers have a fantastic offense right now, Grant and Finley, the guy who got three touchdowns last game, are back and haven't been injured yet. Raji is doing amazing at just stopping runs and collapsing offensive lines.
If the secondary is the only thing they have an issue with, I'll be happy for now.

Yeah, but those are the Texans. The Packers are traditionally a great second half team so if they can get a lead in the first half they can either hold the lead or increase it. I would like to see the offensive line give Rodgers a bit more time, he got sacked three or so times against the Bears.
People are saying that Driver shouldn't be a starter, but he's a great receiver and the only one I know who can get drilled and still keep the ball in his hands. Same with Rodgers, they can get hit but they probably won't fumble the ball.
