Tebow to Oakland makes a kind of sense, IF that happens, all they would have to do is beat Denver in the division to show they made a mistake.
I think Timmy goes to San Fran. With Smith being told he could shop around they may need some-one and they can do worse that Tebow.

Good Lord, I hope Tebow doesn't come to San Fran, and I highly doubt they want him. On another note, Peyton agreed to a 5-year, 96 million dollar deal. John must be more desperate than anyone imagined.

Well as a Denver fan, all I have to say is holy Gak.
It'll be a shame about Tebow if he goes, as I still think he'll prove himself in time, but I'd be happy to give Peyton a shot, even at his age.

So the Niners patched things up with Smith.
Miami and the Jets are courting Tebow, but Denver is using him as trade bait.
Philly traded a 4th round and their 2nd round to Houston for LB Ryans and their 2nd round pick. Finally some leadership on D.
Hines Wars is retiring, as a "Steeler for Life". He stated that playing in another uniform would feel strange.

So the Saints got hit by the league's beatstick for actively trying to seriously injure opposing players!
Coach suspended for the entire 2012 season, their defensive co-ordinator (who iirc isn't even with the team anymore?), is suspended indefinately, they've lost their 2nd round draft picks for this year and next year AND the team got fined a measly $500,000 pocket change!
Should have just suspended the whole team for the season IMHO and send a hardline message to everyone that playing that kind of dirty, cowardly play is completely unacceptable and utterly against everything the game is supossed to be about!
I mean, the high speed you hit with, especially open field hits can feth a guy up for the rest of his life when you're playing to purposely injure. Send a clear statement that that kind of BS won't be tollerated.

You missed that the GM and Assistant Head coach have also been suspended, but for 8 games.
This means that the "coach" is going to be the new DC.. Steve Spagnolo.

Their punishment is pretty severe, dude. Not sure what you're on about.
You think no other team is doing this? You think this will stop other teams from doing this in 2012? Fat chance, unfortunately. Tell me the team that you like and follow, and I can promise you it has guys on it that will get some sort of "reward" for putting a player out of a game this coming season.
It does suck, it is wrong, but get off your high horse.
Actually, I take that back. You aren't on a high horse at all. You're a poor sport.

Because they were the 10th least penalized last year.

The fact that they weren't penalized is irrelevant in this case... As we all know, if there is something wrong going on, it will be found out eventually.. the manner in which it is brought to light can effect the overall outcome... all it takes is one person blowing the whistle to bring the "whole house down" as it were.

Tebow trade.... I think he went cheap; a fourth, a sixth and a seventh round.... yeah its three picks, but all in later rounds that rarely produce a player, let alone a starter.
NFL is requiring that ALL owners and head coaches sign an affidavit that there is no bounty program in their system. Given how bad the tackling was in Philly last year, I don't think they have one...... They barely had a "hitting" program.

Aye, seems real cheap, I'm guessing they didn't like something about Tebow after all, even if a lot of fans where really coming around to him as a player.
Have a feeling they are thinking, we made the playoffs last year with Tebow the rookie, with Manning.. *fireworks and cigars*
However one heavy sack or similar that brings back a neck injury, and thats if he finds the same form he had at the Colts anyways, and this could all fall down around their ears.
Will wait and watch with interest, but its seems like a go for a quick superbowl play, over a long term team. If it pays off I'll hardly be complaining, but it has a lot of risks attached.

I actually got the Tebow trade wrong.... The Jets got (get?) Tebow and a 7th round pick in exchange for a 4th and a 6th.
Denver signed Caleb Hanie (from Chicago - FA) to be Peyton's back-up..... Hanie has a career Qb rating of 41.6, 50% completion rate, 3 TDs, 10 Ints, and 21 sacks for -148 yds. Here's hoping Manning stays healthy.
The Bears signed RB Michael Bush and upset RB matt Forte, their top rusher last year. Forte says he was "Disrespected."
Curtis Lofton signed with the Saints, with Vilma, this
gives them a very dangerous LB corps
More Jets news.... this may sound convoluted but it is how things get done in the NFL...
Less than a week after signing Drew Stanton to be Sanchez's backup, the Jets traded him and a seventh-round draft pick (From Denver?) to Indianapolis for the sixth-round pick the Colts got from Philadelphia in the trade for Winston Justice.
It's about getting the talent and jockeying for position.

Have to agree there... If these two can learn to live with each other, it could be one of the best RB duos around. And some teams do quite well with dual RBs. Chicago has never been much of a throwing team, they prefer to grind their opponants into the ground.

Broncos could make a run, but, like I said above, Peyton has to stay healthy..... Hanie hasn't done much but most of that does not look good.
Of course, if Tebow had a shutdown defense to keep the opponants off the board, he could have won a few more games.
