Lovely Yellow!, How did you get it so crisp?

And where did you get that strange looking melta-gun from?

Heresy-era meltagun.

And damn! Way to mix up the eras with the armor!

If you look in the SM Codex, and you take a close look at the Ultramarine 2nd Company, no two suits are the same, they are all different, all from different era's and unique in some why. I am trying to achieve the same effect with my build. I am hoping by the time I am done with the entire 5th company it will have a unique look to it.

The yellow was achieved with oil paint, Windsor and Newton Cadmium Yellow.

Very nice, very nice! Did you do the conversion on the combi-melta yourself? I'm really liking the veteran's helmet colors on the Mk3, too.

What harm can it do to find out? It's a question that left bruises down the centuries, even more than "It can't hurt if I only take one" and "It's all right if you only do it standing up." Terry Pratchett, Making Money

"Can a magician kill a man by magic?" Lord Wellington asked Strange. Strange frowned. He seemed to dislike the question. "I suppose a magician might," he admitted, "but a gentleman never could." Susanna Clarke Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell

I love the way you've mixed the armour variants within the squad, if I had the money I would love to do this.

Great paint job too, son!

The bases were painted black, dry-brushed chainmail, washed Badab Black, then I used weathering powders for the rust effect. The combi-melta is actually out of the commander box set, though I have had to scratch build a few for this army for the other sgt's

That is some crisp yellow!

There are so many things I love about this squad. Making them all unique gives the squad character, I think. I tried to have the same thing for my squad but I don't have as many kits, haha.

Very nice. I know yellow is a huge pain to paint.

The Emperor extends His will to us when we destroy the wicked and impure to reconquer the galaxy in His name. The Emperor leads the galaxy to righteousness, and thus we must petition for His judgement on the wicked... for it is judgement without mercy..

Thanks for all the positive feed back guys.

Many of you have mentioned how long it must have taken, well this is the advantage of Oil paint, the coverage is great on them and the painting process is actually quite fast.
