Finding it hard to make an Eldar list not really knowing what the weapons do. I'm reading the codex but it doesn't make it really clear.

For example

Eldar weapon A = Bolter = Anti infantry
Eldar Weapon B = Missile Launcher = Anti armour
etc

Why do you want a list of "equivalents"?

Shuriken Catapult = Space Marine Shotgun.
Avenger Shuriken Catapult = Short-range Storm Bolter.
Eldar Missile Launcher = Missile Launcher
Brightlance = really damned expensive Lascannon
Starcannon = I don't know, honestly, just don't use it.
Shuriken Catapult = Heavy Bolter
Scatter Laser = I don't think it has an equiv
Fusion Gun = Melta Gun
Reaper Launcher = I don't tihnk this has an equiv

Look at the Eldar reference sheet at the back of the Codex. It should have an index of all the weapons available to the Eldar.

Compare Strength, AP, and Type. It should clear things up.

You will be sadly disappointed in your Eldar if you try and build them like marines. Eldar have a completely different play style and plain won't function like marines in really any sense.

I meant as in If I needed an anti Tank weapon I would know what to choose.

Missile Launcher - If you want something cheap
Brightlance - if you want something to really piss off landraiders. It may be S8 (the same as missiles), but it reduces to armor value to 12 (unless it's lower than 12)

Also, IIRC, the missile launchers can fire S5 AP5 blast templates. So fairly useful against infantry as well.

For that, as was already said, just check out the summary page. It's just after the Army selection, and just before the painting section.

Really though, I would suggest that guide to any starting Eldar player, it's a great reference. He does actually go over what weapons to outfit on your tanks and why. This might help with your weapon question.

If Shuriken Cannon is equal to Heavy Bolterm then Shuriken Catapult should be compared with Boltgun. But I think it's somewhere between lasgun and boltgun.
Starcannon is Eldar plasma weapon but without overheat.
Scatter Laser = Multilaser
Reaper Launcher is close to hand missile launchers but isn't the same.

I like the lasblaster or what ever its called. Its an str 3 AP 5 Assualt 2 gun with 24in range. Basically a souped up lasgun.

And pairing them up versus Marine weapons has no bearing on this. Look at this rules; the numbers and rules are what dictate this.
