Okay the codex is coming along nicely, but I was interested in knowing what people want in it, and any suggestions they might have.
What i've got in it so far
HQ
Magos - Don't have different stypes but they are highly customizable.
Magnus - Secutorial general, basically death incarnate
Siege Engineer
Skitarii General
Elite
Myrmidons
electro-priest
Praetorians
Skitarii demolition team
Troops
Skitarii- yeah other than skill, str, and toughness these guys are nearly 100% modifiable
Secutors
Fast Attack
nothing yet
Heavy Support
Nothing yet.

Dark Mechanicus too please.
Seriously, doing both in the same codex is stupidly easy. There's a standard list, it includes everything you'd expect, Tech-Priests, Skitarii etc. Your HQ choice must choose between the rules Adeptus Mechanicus, or Dark Mechanicus. Depending on which one is picked you gain access to specific units and upgrades. The Adeptus Mechanicus rule gives you access to some really ancient and advanced tech, including their own wargear section and some really powerful units, as well as a specific HQ that comes with this rule already. The Dark Mechanicus has their own HQ, and gain access to some Daemonic enchancements, spells, and Daemon Engines.

Very large mobile factories/fortresses that crawl around on legs are mentioned in Dark Apostle, that could be a super-heavy kind of vehicle. Moreover the Skitarii utilize standard IG/SM/SoB equipment such as Chimeras, Rhinos, Leman Russ, Sentinels, even Land Raiders, etc..

I don't think i'll be giving the codex any super heavies. That being said the skitarii are so customoizeable it's not funny, they can even take terminator armor.

hence why I'm making a fandex......... I'm actuallly going to send it in to GW after the community beta tests it and refines it and tell them they only really need to release a few things and add some fluff, and it's a cash cow waiting for them.

the myrmidons and secutors are both just whole squads of warrior tech-priests. so we've got them covered well.
