In light of the new fluff (My knowledge only from the leaked Necron info thread in news and rumors) I was wondering if a Tech Priest would be able to hack and/or reprogram any Necron unit? I would imagine Warriors and Immortals would be much easier than other units if it was possible at all.
I ask because in my Radical Inquisition army I plan on having Flayed Ones as DCA and Necron Lychguard with hyperphase swords and dispersion shields as Crusaders with a Tech Marine "leading them".
In both of these cases I would think a total reprogram or a possible memory wipe would be the best way to justify this.

I don't like the idea that you could just hack a necron. There technology to so far past everyone, you should be lucky to find the on button. Not to mention most attempts to hack them result in you getting hacked.
Though with the rumors about the new necrons, you can just have them form an alliance with only the standard amount of complaints.

Current fluff has pretty much de-fanged the Necrons, the Imperium would have much more success reasoning and trading with them then trying these kind of schemes. Maybe the Necrons find them worthy of respect!

Well my guess would be people. Seemed like the overall plan for them now is to get there empire back then get themselves some new bodies. Bodies seem to make the most sense. I can't think of anything else they could want.

Im gonna come down on the side of it could be done..
Warhammer 40k is full of examples of people using technology they dont know how to maintain/manufacture/properly use..
A captured piece of Necron 'Ressurection' technology meshed with Imperial/Empire/Craftworld/Commoragh/Other technology could lead to Necrons who died and should be waking up in new bodies instead actually having their conscious lost and actually dying and new Necron Constructs being awoken with other consciousnesses instead.
Basically, other tech (of the Great Powers at least) would likely be unable to do it alone.. but some imagineering can easily sort it out!

Y'know, this isn't star trek where everyone has technology that is somehow capable of interfacing with other pieces of gear with little to no effort. Aside from the fact that Necrons are NOT simple computers, there is also the fact that they are designed using different principals, technologies, and if you want to go so far, programming languages, than anything the Imperium is used to. "Hacking" a necron will either be straight up impossible (the Imperium would be lacking any way to actually interface with them machines), or would take years and years of work to accomplish, maybe, if they were lucky.

I agree with the above, even if you could find the control panel, you can't hack what is essentially a human/near human brain inside a metal case.

Welly welly well then.
Perhaps the crons are too advanced to hack. However, with their fluff being raped so whorribly, I could see the crons making a pact with the Inquisitor.
But I mean c'mon guy. Why not just use the models that you should be using for those stats? I think it's a bold move taking minis from across another codex.
I wouldn't have any problem play against "inquisicrons" but I'm sure plenty of players would.
