The Grymn were bio-engineered Space-Dwarfs that were created to carry out all of the dangerous work that asteroid mining could provide. They were a slave race that eventually escaped and launched into the universe as a new species.

They are exceptionally hardy and are outstanding artificers and scientists but were forever hunted by their creators. That meant that they had to build armies for all environments...











They created dangerous war engines capable of destroying worlds and eventually, they gained allies that helped them to rid themselves of the pursuit of their creators. That led to a settled life where a lot of the larger, more dangerous equipment was destroyed and recycled.

...but the scientists continued to work and turned their attentions to building a more powerful soldier. Their efforts were split in two directions; Personal equipment and body enhancement. This led to the development of super-light , powerful armour and a range of super-serums and genetic manipulation that enhanced a Grymn's body to extraordinary levels...

...Welcome the Super-Grymn:

The first was Black Widow; martial artist beyond compare, with reflexes that enable her to dodge a bullet:



Next came Hurricane; able to run at the speed of sound and use vibration to penetrate solid structures:



Following those two is Juggernaut; virtually indestructible and super-strong:



It was then that the scientists decided that a leader should be found and Nick Fury joined the team. He is an expert strategist who has mastery over all weapons and is a highly trained soldier:



Finally (at the moment) we have Puck; smaller than a normal Grymn, his body took on the properties of hardened rubber, giving him super-resilience, high strength and the ability to leap great distances:



The scientists continue their work...they are currently working an some super light armour and have branched out into the specialist research area of Gamma Radiation and how it affects the cell structure of a Grymn...

Really impressive sculpting although with Iron Man's pose I can't help but be reminded of the infamous Iron Man vs Iron Man dance off I saw at a tournament several years ago.

These are all looking great, Inso. Your mastery of anatomy is superb. To model all of those characters as Grymn. Great work!

Sculpting them is one thing...can you imagine how fiddly it is to paint Union flags on the Captain's wrists....VERY!

He's mostly painted already and just needs his base finishing before I take more pix .

Really liking the Star League its nice to see some varied aliens rather than the standard bugs and Tolkien rip-offs about!

I had something like the Green Lantern Corps in mind when I started the Star League and as a result, will need to keep the aliens varied.
