The Type-32(G) 'Pendekar' battlesuit is the latest addition to Z4Miniatures range of 28mm science fiction miniatures. Each model stands 56mm to its tallest point and comes with four different weapons, with empty fists and clear mounting areas for you to add your own if so desired. Four arm variants along with a ball-and-socket shoulder joint give excellent poseability, and the legs and pelvis are now fused into two variants, streamlining assembly, and eliminating the previous requirement that you have four hands to hold the entire assembly together.

Size comparison, from left to right: GW Tau Battlesuit, Z4 Pendekar Battlesuit, Infinity Marut TAG, Z4 Bouncer Battlesuit.

Detail shots. (R) hand: Assault Rifle, (R) shoulder: Missile Pod, (L) hand: SMG with grenade

Also, the battlesuit is fully compatible size-wise with the weapons from the Games Workshop Tau Battlesuit. The weapons can mount with minimal fuss onto the shoulder mounts, or with a little trimming (or putty) will fit onto the forearm.

This release encompasses the following:

SF00001 - Type-32(G) 'Pendekar' Battlesuit 1x metal miniature, random variant. GBP13.00
SF10002 - Pendekar Battlesuit Fireteam 2x metal miniatures, random variants. GBP25.00
SF10003 - Pendekar Battlesuit Squad 3x metal miniatures, random variants. GBP35.00

They don't have heads! AAAHH!!

Although that would be a super easy fix. Even seems to be a convenient mounting point.

Speaking of which, Gitkikka-

At least one those it's a cockpit. On the minis...who knows. Maybe it's just tradition.

Gah, ninja'd. In any case, the rest of the minis looks pretty awesome.

Very nice, I just wish these smaller outfits had access to cheap plastic instead of metal.

Battlesuits in *EXACTLY* the sort of style I like....but unfortunately out of my price range, especially since I don't have a good use for them right now.

It's not my preferred style so I'm not your target audience anyway, but to me it looks like it's in that awkward middle ground where it's too big to be worn and too small to be piloted.

I'd say there's room for a pilot tucked into a near fetal position in the top. Won't be especially comfortable, but they still can fit.

Besides, how do you think a Tau fits into a Crisis suit?

@AlexHolker

It could certainly be worn, but I gave up a little realism at the waist because I wanted a mobile waist that could twist around, same thing with the hips. The way I constructed them would be a little awkward for someone to have his legs in them, but they were infinitely easier to pose.

@Jefffar

Didn't you know? Tau promote on size. The smaller you are, the better you fit into Crisis suits, and all the Fire Caste higher-ups are in suits. Ergo, the bosses are all midgets.

Yeah noticed the slightly suggestive... protrusion after a kind gentleman on another forum pointed it out. It's not as blatant on the model because there's actually a plate going down from there, but in the photos it really does look like a wang/dongbot.

At first I was thinking hey those are kinda cool and I have a extensive Tau involvement, but after the poster above noted the dong/bot properties, I cannot really look at it the same now.....kinda like a train wreck for me, sorry other than that it has nice details, just to phallic now.

That's really not a phrase I'd ever wanted to hear, but it works out surprisingly well in this situation.

Looks cool. Liking the idea of a modular Crisis suit proxy.

I'm not digging the "robot sneakers" though
