I have really enjoyed and continue to enjoy the HH series. I would like to see books covering the following though.

1. Malcador - The Sigilite would make an interesting subject as you could have conversations with the Emperor like the Lightning Tower style. Mix in all his other roles, head of the Assassins etc. How he held back the warp on the Golden throne until he crumbled to dust. He is a great subject.
2. Constantin - The head of the Custodes enough said.
3. The Gate - The story of a single Guardsman at the Eternity Gate, his horror and fascination watching Gods, Daemons and Primarch's Warring on Terra and his absolute desolation and terror as he watches everything crumble.

What would you like to see in the HH Series?

Collecting Forge World 30k????? If you prefix any Thread Subject line on 30k or Pre-heresy or Horus Heresy with [30K] we can convince LEGO and the Admin team to create a 30K mini board if we can show there is enough interest!

I'd like to see one about Constantin Valdor or the Custodes in general, but as for Malcador, I don't think it'll happen, he's supposed to be all mysterious and stuff, even though it would be fantastic to read about. As for the gate, I'm in two minds, it would be good, but to actually get the feel of the situation it would need to be a nightmare inducing tome of death that haunts your every waking moment, making you scared to remove your head from under the covers, but also scared to keep it there in case there's daemons there too.

Something about the Iron Warriors and Raven Guard.

Arguing with some people is like playing chess with a pigeon. You can play the best chess in the world, but at the end of the day the pigeon will still knock all the pieces off the board and then gak all over it.

All the big pieces on the custodes will be near the end of series, at the battle of terra.

about Dorn

i would love the siege from the perspective of guardsman (someone in the elite units so he survives to the end) or a marine

about Khan

and i would love from an in universe perspective why Horus never commanded the EC to fight against the loyalits instead of butchering the civs,

I'd like to see all the books burned and then re-written in a clear, cronological order.

I'd like them to focus on characters worth remembering and actually discuss something interesting or make great revelations to the past of the 40k universe.

When I read the first book my feelings were quite mixed. "I was there when Horus killed the Emperor." Looks like this book is gonna be awesome... Oh, not talking about the real emperor.

I could go on and on about my problems with the books or what I'd like to see but I don't feel like droning on for hours.

In general I just want to read about the battleat Terra. Nothing else in the Horus Heresy interests me. Unless they reveal the 2 other primarchs, Then I might be interested.

Battle of Terra would have to be the size of Gaunts Ghost Omnibus with tiny type print to do it justice.

Battle of terra will be done in multiple books, and will be the series finale, so could still be a bit away.

A book on each of the main legions that haven't had a novel yet. And some epic titan warfare. Please and thanks!

Still waiting for the Blood Angels to get their time in the spotlight, unfortunately they don't feature very prominently until the end. I'm expecting to see a book about Signus, and then nothing else until their role in the Siege of Terra.

Weren't they mentioned in the "murder" Campaign, that was pretty pivotal.

They need to give the Iron Hands a little love. So far the entire chapter has had about ten pages of material given to them. In fact, it's been really hit or miss as to how fleshed out each legion has become over the course of the series.

There needs to be more focus on how the Iron Warriors and Death Guard turned heretic. Also, some of the loyalists like the Raven Guard and White Scars should be fleshed out more. I would say that about the Ultramarines too, but there's nothing to flesh out about them.

They received a small cameo during that campaign, nothing more really. Again, I understand that their great story happens at the end of the heresy so we probably won't see a whole lot about them until then, but its still tough waiting.

Raven Guard novel is coming soon actually. Deliverance Lost, listed for a January release.

+1 QFT, time for the Ferrus Manus to get some love, some Manly Testosterone, Iron love.

Ultramarines get some attention in "Furious Abyss" and also in "The First Heretic".

Ravenguard is the next book coming. It's called Deliverence. The artwork even features Corax :3

It's a tad late for Ferrus to get some sweet iron love. If we end up getting a Iron Hands novel the key theme will be 'flashbacks'.

Here's one that I don't think anyone has mentioned before: How about one that is set on earth during the tail end of the Unification Wars? I'm slightly iffy on the specific timeline, but you could probably squish in the recovery of the Golden Throne (that was on Terra, right?), Thunder Warriors with the Mk I(ish) plate, the Primarch Project, creation of geneseed, and for fun and profit the author could put in cameos of the two lost legions (nothing concrete, just 'hey, what's legion II up to', 'oh, they're fighting on <generic bastardized region name> ). Lots of potential in that setting really. They'd have to be careful to not be too specific, but there's a lot of material to mine, and unlike some topics (*cough*Magnus vs. Russ*cough), it's unlikely to ignite much neckbeard rage. I'd suggest a collection of short stories, that way you can get a bunch of authors involved, and you don't have to contort yourself to stretch a single storyline over multiple centuries.

Fiction (at least good fiction, which is what the Heresy novels are striving to be) doesn't work like that.

If you want tedious and self-regarding 'fictional history' I'm sure Star Trek or Star Wars have piles of pricey hardback chronologies, technical manuals and other such crap for you. Warhammer 40,000 has never been that kind of setting.

To answer the original post, I'm enjoying the books as they are, but naturally I'm getting impatient to see the showdown on Terra. (And for what 'historical' Warhammer 40,000 novels there might be to come; Age of Apostasy, for instance.)

Mechanicum

I'm looking forward to the Blood Angels on Signus and Hopefully the battles between Night Lords and The Dark Angels would be awesome.

Yup it will be like any animation produced by Seth McFarlane in the last 10 years.

The Dark Angels have two books centered solely on them.

My first choice would of been a World Eater novel, but that's apparently in the works so yey!

I want to see more of the Iron Warriors.

At this point in the novels, Perturabo is just that guy who made the Lion look stupid that one time.

I've read Mechanicum. but I want something on a slightly more epic scale, I'm thinking at the seige of terra. Anyone read Titanicus? That in the 30k setting would be epic!
