Hi all,
So I have my first game with the new Necron book. It was awesome, I really like this new book.
My List:
HQ - Obyron
HQ - Nemesor Zahndrekh
HQ - Royal Court (Cryptech, Harbinger of Despair, Veil of Darkness; ResLord, warscyth)
Elite - Deathmarks x 5
Elite - C'Tan, Grand Illusion, Spirt Swarm
Troop - Warriors x 10
Troop - Warriors x 10
Troop - Immortals, with telsa carbines x 10
fast - Destoryers x 4, Heavy Destroyer x 1
fast - scarabs x 6
Heavy - Monolith
Heavy - Doomsday Ark
Heavy - Tomb Spyder

Deployement/Mission:
-Spearhead/Capture and Control (only two objectives)
-I got to go first, I left the C'Tan, Doomsday Ark, and Death Marks in reserve.
-He left his combat squaded troops in reserve except one and also left Dante and his unit in reserve - all deepstrike.
-I used grand illusion to move the Doomsday Ark out of reserve.
-He Scout moves his Baals, the Assault Cannon Balls is Immobilized by a ruin.
Turn 1 Mine:
-My destorys, spyder, monolith move forwards towards his Preds. The Destoryers, monolith and warriors squad shoot at his immoblised assault pred but only shake it.
-Scarabs fleet run to the flamestorm pred and the doomsday fires at the lasDread but miss.
-Scarabs assault the flame storm pred and remove 5 points of armor from it.
Turn 1 His:
-Flame Storm Cannon Shoots and kills all but one scarab base, leaving it with one wound.
-His MeltaDread fires at the destorys, kills two, one comes back from
WBB.
-Other dread shoots at Doomsday but misses.
Turn 2 Mine:
-Deathmarks arrive and mark the unit in sitting on the
HQ but scatter and are forced to shoot at the flamePred. Thanks to the minus 5 to its armor, I was able to pen it many times and stun it and remove its flamestorm cannon.
-Monolity moves forward and fires at the LasPred and kills it.
-Doomsday fires at LasDred and misses.
-Scarabs flee back towards tomb spyder.
-Nemesor gives the destoyers tanks hunter and they shoot at the assaultPred but fail to damage it.
Turn 2 His:
-All his units arive. They deepstrike completely around me and have a fantastic turn of shooting. One metlapistol blows up the monolith, much to his excitement and little to mine. He told me we should just put monoliths on the table and take turns blowing them up with melta weapons
-His other squads do some damage to the Necrons and Immortals but nothing staggering thanks to
WBB.
-His other units do a good job bringing the Destorys down to two dudes.
-Deathmarks get assaulted by LasDred and stay in combat till turn 5.
Turn 3 Mine:
-C'Tan comes in and walks near the Dante/Sanguin unit that killed my doomsday ark.
-The warriors fire one unit and knock it down to a man.
-Immortals fire at sanguin unit and do a wound to Dante.
-Spyder finally manges to make another scarab and moves off to the a combat squad and another warriors units nocks them down to two men.
-Destoryers fire and kill two out of four assault marines.
-Scarabs move off to do more damge to the Assault Pred.
-C'Tan gets furious charge from Nemesor and assaults the Sanguin unit. Dante fails to wound the C'Tan and the C'Tan instakills Dante with his S8 attack and kills two Sanguins.
-Obyron kills the last of the assault marines.
-Spyrder kills last of the assault marines.
-Destoryers get into combat with the last two assault marines but do nothing, combat is a draw.
Turn 3 His:
-AssaultPred shoots at spyder does some wounds.
-LasDred kills another deathmark in
CC.
-C'Tan finishes off Sanguiin unit but not before they mange a wound.
-Flamepred moves back towards his objective.
Turn 4 Mine:
-Spyder makes another scarab, both assault the assaultPred and finish it off.
-C'Tan saves the destorys who are still locked in combat.
Turn 4 His:
-LasDred kills another DeathMark.
-FlamePred moves closer to objective.
Turn 5 Mine:
-Scarabs and spyder attack the LasPred, reduce its armor to almost nothing.
-Nemesor unit of Immortals use the Cryptec's vail of darkness and deepstrike nearby the very last assault marine unit.
-Obyron and his unit use his veil of darkness to deepstriek without scatter next to the unit and rapid fire to no effect.
Turn 5 His:
-He assaults the Obryon unit. Do no damge, Obryon and ResLord use Warscythes and finish off the squad.
-Deathmarks punch right throw the paper thin armor on the dread and finish it off.
Results:
Me, two objectives.
Him, tabled.
Hope you guys liked the report. I was sad how fast the Monolith die and how little the Annihilation ark did but that's just bad dice

. The Nemesor giving Tank Hunter to my units was really cool and useful. OByron is surpsingly good in
CC. I love Veil of Darkness and the Res Orbs were nice though I didn't use them much this game. Necrons are a lot of fun to play and pretty competiive and afterwards me and my opponent discuss that we both felt like Necrons win without allot of shinangags. He never felt like Necrons won because thier book is over powered. They pretty much do the same thing they did before. And if you think about it, a lot of units took a nerfing. Destoryer dont move like jet bikes, monoliths don't aren't as invunerable, and veil of darkness doesn't allow you to get out of
CC. But, at the same time, they still have all that and now you can actually bring other units to the game. Getting rid of the phase out handicap really makes the army good.
