So I put a DW shoulder pad on my Terminator and I am wondering, should the shoulder be painted in company colors, or DW colors, if it is supposed to be DW colors, what are those colors?

Deathwing colors. use Deheb Stone first, then Bleached Bone.

The arm it is on and the shoulder pad should be painted the Deathwatch color, which is silver. It is an honor for veterans of the Deathwatch.

I'm assuming you're talking about Deathwatch, not Deathwing, am I correct?

So this is going on a IF terminator sergeant, this is not for a DW army, just a former member. So I have the pad on the right arm, crux on the left.

I have 2 different responses, 1 saying white, the other saying silver....anyone else want to to take a stab?

And should the =I= be painted red?

Pad should be on the left, chapter symbol on the right, that is what is most popular.

There's not really too much fluff about terminators in the Deathwatch.

This article for Lexicanum shows only one terminator.

And Kronk's take on it can be seen here-

Ok I think your missing what I am trying to do. I am making a Imperial Fist Sgt, that was a FORMER Death Watch member, he is no longer on his DW assignment and has returned to the ranks of the IF 1st Company. As I understand it former DW members still wear the DW shoulder pad, I am just not sure how to paint it in this case. The terminator crux is always on the left shoulder on terminators, and the chapter symbol is on the right.

I clearly understand what you're asking. Former members have their Deathwatch pad on their left arm, with both painted silver. Even in the case of terminators that were former deathwatch and are now back with their chapter. This is the only exception of there not being a crux on their left shoulder. Then their right shoulder pad is where their chapter colors and symbol are represented.

That makes no sense, with out the crux how would the have the invulnerable save?

The Crux Terminatus is a stone medallion. It doesn't confer the invulnerable save.

Don't know how you would model this but I imagine a combination of the two for that case. Replace the skull in the cross with an Inquisitorial "I" or something. It could also be up to the veteran to choose which honor he wears.
