Hello to all,
I was wondering about the possibility of a Scout army. Right now I am just playing around with Army Lists for me to base my force on. I've narrowed it down to 3 candidates:

Assault Squad with Powerfist and 2 Plasma Pistols (Should have Infernus Pistols for AT, but no models)
155pts

Assault Squad with Meltabombs and 2 hand flamers
150pts

Assault Squad
100pts

Stormraven with Hurricane Bolters and TL lascannons
230pts

Furioso Librarian in Drop Pod
210pts

1000pts Total

Option 2 - Ninja Strike

Captain with Meltabombs
105pts

3X Scout Squads with 10 Scouts and Combat Blades
420pts

Scout squad with Powerfist, Missile Launcher and Boltguns
110pts

Lascannon Predator
190pts

Scout Biker Squad with 5 Bikers, Powerfist, 3 Grenade launchers and Cluster mines
175pts

1000pts total

Option 3 - Speeder Force

Captain on Bike with PW
150pts

Assault Squad with 2 Hand Flamers and Meltabombs
125pts

Assault Squad with 2 Infernus Pistols and Meltabombs

I personally use assault squads, small scout sniper squads, and attack bikes. So I guess you could call my list Infil DoA. Works well in small point games, yet to test in anything above 800.

if your wanting to try out a scout list at 1k points then go with 2 scout units with locator beacons and get yourself some termies. at this point lvl they will tear things up

now onto the lists...im liking the first list overall. but its really not a good idea to go epistolary with a libby if your going jump packers. its used so much that its almost a requirement id go with shield of sang for one of the powers. now saying that it will leave you open with your second power and give a cover save to just about everything.

also for the dread id drop it down to a regular furioso with blood talons so you can tear things up in combat and drop the drop pod for it and use the storm raven to transport it around. and speaking of the storm raven. give it a multi melta in addition to your lascannon that way you can pop open your transports a bit easier and charge the unit inside with the dread. also chuck out the hurricane bolters, they are really a waste in a blood angel list unless you kit out the raven to heavily deal with infantry

as for your troops...try to combine 2 squads into one without jump packs and stick them in the storm raven to maximize the ravens use and get across the table alot faster than with jump packs. if not you can keep the jump packs on and run them around with the libby attached. but your gonna want to try and get a priest to further increase surviability

also looking at the lists again...i can see list 3 being really fun running around with so many speeders

The new list is illegal. You can only have 1 death company dread for 1 unit of death company.

Also, pretty sure death company can't hold objectives.

Eldartu: the rules state you can have one DC Dread for every 5 Death Company members

Funky: this works on the Wipeout! rule that if there is no enemy left, you automatically win the game. This applies in all scenarios.

Also, I was wondering whether I should give 1 DC Dread Blood Talons instead.

with the new list you should find a way to get jump packs for your death co. and would suggest talons for your dreads. ive used death co dreads alot and like the talons alot. the ability to potentially wipe squads out in a single round of combat is just pure gravy. however if you keep the drop pods, it might be a good idea to deploy the dreads as normal so they dont pop on landing. and it shouldnt be to hard to get cover saves if the dreads follow behind everything

I know that Blood Talons are awesome, but I need more AT. If I cut Dc to 15 and get rid of a Powerfist I can give them jump packs.

True. So true. I think it'll be hilarious when I come to face a Tau Gunline and I plonk down my entire army behind it.
Do you think that I should find a way of fitting one of my Drop Pods with a Locator Beacon? Cut a Powerfist for example? DC have no DoA and scatter is a very bad threat.

DOA is the most competitive, Death Company the most fun.
