I'm wanting to transfer my terminators that are glued onto the plain black bases to new resin bases.
What would be the best way to get them off without damaging the model?

break the tip off a decent xacto blade with a pair of pliers so it doesnt break off and hurt you when you use it aggressively. cut and pry one foot and then the other until model comes off base. be careful and its pretty easy.

If it's glued with plastic glue, you will have to carefully cut it off as the two pieces of plastic are now one piece. If it's superglue you can probably pry it off as stated above.

Break/destroy the base itself. Cut into the base with pliers and cut around the feet. Then use an X-Acto Knife to cut away the base from the feet.
The base can be sacrificed, the models cannot.

And for all that is good and holy, BE CAREFUL. Even with a blunted blade.
Otherwise I'll hunt down that pic of my hand from after my knife slipped....

Just destroy the base its on with clippers etc, unless its either easy to take off or you want the base.

This is the best advice. Cut the base away from the feet of the model as much as you can. Then use a knife to shave away the remnants of the base from the bottom of his feet.
I had to pry a Deff Dread off a base a few months back because I had a new custom base for him, and I wanted to use his old base for a Killa Kan with the base still in tact.
I managed it... barely, but it was pretty difficult and I still ended up breaking one of the toes on the Deff Dread.

exacto blade...
Now, if you don't care about the base, grab a pair of clippers and snip snip snip the base apart. From there you can carve out the feet, and then file the plastic down. This method is incredibly slow but guaranteed to cause absolutely no damage to your terminators (but at the cost of your bases)
