Look, i'm sorry for getting aggressive and swearing etc. My post about my history stuff im sorry that i didn't understand about all the rules and stuff like that. I'm sorry for asking people to donate i understand its their hard earn't money and i have got some miniatures now cause i traded with someone. I would just like to get more in the 40k community. I didn't mean to appear as a idiot or D**k eventhough i have made myself look like this. I am truely sorry to all that i said things to etc.

It wasn't so much that he was acting poorly. Looking through his posting history, it appears that this may be his first time on a forum, and so he blundered about in a way that rattled the nerves of some here.

And, of course, like sharks to blood, so did the other posters come into the feeding frenzy.

I can totally understand why you got angry. Just try not to rise to the people posting grouchy responses or flamebaiting you next time.

It helps to have a thick skin on forums. While dakka is nothing like 4chan or youtube for example, some people will still act like asses, so you need to learn to ignore it.

As to your DIY fluff you posted in dakka fiction: I know it's cool to create your own fluff, but if you put it on these boards people will scrutinise it seriously and poke holes in it. I'd only do it if you can take the criticism. Same goes if you post any of your painted minis in the P&M section.

i've read through your posts and i think you shouldnt take it too seriously. some people really did overreact, but then again so did you. forget about it and move along, theres more to dakka than the swap shop, and it can be pretty fun here!

No worries, I missed the initial post that caused all this, which is weird cause normally one of the first people to jump on a custom space marine chapter thread. Live and learn. There are some great resources around the forum here and on other forums for fluff and what-not, particularly Bolter and Chainsword for pure space marines.

One more point of advice to our new Friend, the OP:

Try to remember proper grammar, punctuation, sentence-structure and spelling. Researchers asked over9000 people what grinds their gears, and results are that 10 out of 7 people are more likely to have a small threshold for bs, bad fluff, bad writing and newbs, if their writing is bad.

Other than that, I believe that you deserved everything you got: The Catharsis you just experienced will help you deal with criticism better in the future, be more relaxed and teach you how to act on the internet.

That is a real classy move what you did. Welcome to dakka and here are 3 tips on how to maximize your enjoyment on these forums and online in general:

1) be excellent to eachother

2) dont take any of this seriously

3) if you post something out of rage, wait 1 hour and then see if you want to post
