this has been asked hundred of times, and answered hundreds of times, the search function will undoubtedly reveal all the answers you may need, then after you have looked through them a bit and have some specific questions that the search function may not yield answers to, I am sure others would be happy to address your questions.

There have been SO MANY airbrush threads lately :(

Is it a new trend or something? I didn't notice this like 3 months ago.

Anywho, I use an Iwata HP-CS with Vallejo Game Color paints primarily, some Vallejo Model Color paints as well. Works fine. I use a d3000r paasche compressor for the airbrush.

I've heard Vallejo Model Air is quite good for airbrushing, but i've never bought any, local store doesn't carry it.

i wish an adept airbrush artist would just write up a sticky about airburshes i.e. what specs, equipment you would be looking for and a average price list....

There's 3 or 4 topics that could do with a detailed sticky, maybe the mods could look into this?

If I answer the question as its written, the 'best' would be an iwata custom micron CM-C, infact you probably want 2 or 3 of those with various needle sizes and maybe an eclipse g5 for bigger pieces.

Then you'll need something like Iwata maxx jet compressor to power them all.

It goes without saying you'll want a room modified with built in ventilation and benches with filters.

As for paint, Vallejo model air is very good, but you'll want a complete set of enamel paints for weathering too.

Hope this helps you.

ive not read this thread properly but to quickly put it just use gw paints watered down its nice and cheap and works a dream. if you want to make life easier use vallejo because they come in dropper bottles which means you can measure the ratios better and theyre slightly thinner but still give a better coat than GW paints.
