I have no idea how you can fit that all into one sandwich. It seems excessive.

I struggle getting cheese, lettuce and pickle to stay in between two slices of bread without cascading down my hands. As awesome as it is to have scorching hot pickle ooze down my flesh as I eat.
I guess it's about how much of each you put on.
also, now I'm hungry :/

How to make a damn fine sandwich:

First, you need these ingredients:

Meat (no fat-free or "light" turkey bs either. Only artery clogging pastrami or something similar will do)

Cheese (Muenster cheese is the best. If you can't get any, you lose. Provolone might work though)

Bread (The best bread to use for a sandwich is Jalepeneo Cheese Bread. If you can't find any, try normal garlic bread, or pesto bread. Sour dough is always acceptable)

Tabasco Sauce (Mandatory. It makes everything better)

Lettuce (Makes the sandwich look bigger, and it tastes good)

Tomatoes (This one is probably the most controversial on the list, but since I'm always right, it stays)

Onions (And plenty of them. Be generous when you add these)

Olives (Black or Green, they're both good)

Pickles (NOTE: DO NOT use those sick-ass pickles McDonalds and Burger King put on their burgers. Use real pickles that have been soaked in garlic, vinegar, and beet juice. If you can't find any, just skip the pickles)

Vinegar (It's damn good)

Beef Jerky (Beef jerky kicks ass)

Bacon (Make sure it's bone dry first)

Mayonnaise (Not too much.. it can make your food too mushy)

I think that should do it. The beef jerky isn't always feasible, but I put it on there anyway since you should eat it as a side dish (a nice alternative to chips or fries). If you can't bite into your sandwich because it's so huge, then you know you've made it right. Just keep compressing it until you can at bite into it.

This sandwich also goes good with clam chowder (with lots of corn in it). Corn goes good with anything. Things you should add to your clam chowder are:

Lemons (you should add lemons to every soup)

Tabasco (You should know that by now)

1 can of corn (Just dump the whole thing in there, minus the water of course)

1 full package of crackers (Or croutons)

There you have it. A meal fit for me. Now you can brag to your friends that you know how to make a kick-ass sandwich.

I don't have a favorite but this sounds delicious, I make good sandwiches as well.

A good BLT is always nice. I just made some mini ones for dinner, using feather rolls my mom baked and I brought home as leftovers. The feather rolls are very buttery, so I slice them lengthwise with a breadknife and toast them open-face down in a pan. Heavenly.

The other sandwich I made with them this week was a BBQ chicken wing sandwich. I made up a huge double batch of spicy* chicken wings this week, half to bring to work for a holiday pot luck, half for the wife and myself. I had the inspiration to toast the rolls (as above) and remvoe the meat from several wings, and eat it between the toasted rolls along with original recipe BBQ sauce from The Salt Lick (Driftwood, TX).

The third sandwich we made this week was tuna salad. Use two cans (not just for one sandwich, naturally; if you're making it, make a bunch) of solid white albacore, and dice fresh celery. Along with the mayo, mix in salt, copious amounts of black pepper, some cayenne pepper, one finely-diced jalapeno, a couple of tablespoons of dijon mustard, and a couple of tablespoons of fresh-squeezed lime juice. Serve on toasted whole wheat, top with sliced tomato.

*(Salt, pepper, cayenne, paprika, garlic powder, coriander, oregano)

My own concoction of a burger is the closest thing I have to a favorite sandwich, but its the best damned burger on earth!

Burger

bacon ( the cheap thick fatty bacon is the best thing on a sandwich imo )

cheese

over easy egg

mustard on bottom for the burger

salsa on top for the egg

Smash the yolk into the salsa and all over the sandwich and plate, then use the burger to wipe up the missing yolk and salsa

I might have to go upstairs and make a burger lol

The best simple to make sandwich is. Toast two slices of bread, get some rotisserie chicken, put mayonnaise on the toasted bread, put the chicken on the bread, slice up. Then enjoy.

P.S. Don't forget to caramelize the bread (that means to toast it)

Well first off Joey, it was a pretty big sandwich, but I'm 6'5 and 210 pnds so I had a good grip on it.

Mannahnin - You Tuna sandwich sounds amazing! I think I will be getting some ingredients to make that tommorow for lunch.

Grabzak - That sounds very good. Love the egg, I am a huge egg fan, lol with salsa as well, yum!

WARORK - That looks amazing!
DIDM - That is something that will never enter my body!

Shadowsnip - That is the most common sandwich at my house. Usually just get a $10 rostisserie chicken at the supermarket and rip it off, put mayo on bread, viola! Delicious tho, especially when its still warm.

Bearjrca - That sounds pretty good as well. I love montreal smoke meet. Oddly I dont venture into the sourdoughs very often. I def should try it though!

Currently I'm doing tiger bun with a layer of mature cheddar, a slice of breaded ham, and a splodge of sweet chilli relish. I suppose my favourite is warm chicken, lots of lettuce, and some mayonnaise, with thick white crusty loaf.

The Philadelphia Cheesesteak, which I just can't seem to side outside of Philly.

I'm actually a fan of turkey, lettuce, yellow mustard, and sandwich dressing on a sub roll or hard roll. Simple, but tasty.

Pastrami on rye with mustard is also A+.

Gotta admit. That sandwich DIDM posted looks unbelievably delicious. And probably something you should only eat once a year unless you want to die.
