Yeah, I like it with the chains on the horns. The spikes were just too much, but I do think it looks good now.

Ok as the theme for my flat tonight is tropical heat wave, all I could think about was flamers!!!!

I was trying to find a way of attaching a flamer to the left arm, my GK DK box caught my eye. Had to try this out!

Small update of right arm, he got another pipe

I think I would extend the flamer out abit to make it the same length as the plasma gun!!

Also I am thinking of scratch building some new legs, one which a more substantial, any ideas.

Can I have a vote on whether I should continue with the heavy flamer!!!

Siege hammer or Heavy flamer? Honnestly I like both...maybe the Siege hammer would fit the IW better.

What kind of legs would you like to scratchbuild? with more articulations? more armor plates? or just make your own armor plates instead of using those from the ironclad?

I haven't mentioned it before but I'm a huge fan of the job you've done with the chaos knights icon on the shoulder plates!

That flamer is reeeeealy hot (no pun intended). You have to continue with it! How about making it abit like the Tyrant's Claw?

Tipios, I think the answer is obvious. You need both. Get them magnetized, bud.

If you HAVE to choose just one, I'd say go with the Siege Hammer, because I have to agree with Joe that it's more fitting for the IWs.

I agree, Siege would fit IW better.

I want more bulky legs I think, ATM the armour plates look funny half way up the leg, so maybe just building bigger armour plates would work. Although trying to make complete legs would be fun but I have no idea what to do yet!!!

Thanks, the chaos knights icons are very nice, I'm trying to buy more now for the rest on the dreads

Thanks Limbo! do you mean make it look like the tyrant's weapon arm?

I think what will happen is I will keep the IW with the hammer, and make another complete arm, and maybe give it to the Slaanesh dread, or start a new dread altogether but what legion to do next??

I really like the flamer but i think the length of the arm is more CC weapen esk, if it were shorter it would be AWSOME!

Awesome start Tipios, the Sentinel missile launchers are sweet and the autocanon (it's an autocanon right?) is on a good way. Good job!

Thanks Joe Yes it's an autocannon I need to do more with the ammo drums, thats near enough what it will look like, but with some daemon heads
Sorry for tempting you to part with your money how are the meeting going?

I finally got round to the Khorne Autocannon, the main thing I was stuck on, was filling the gap at the rear of the gun!

Re-cap of what it looked like many months ago.

Updated with DK parts, and dread engine plates to fill gaps.

The autocannon looks good with the dreadknight elements, but I feel there's something missing at the end of the tubes (not necessarily gargoyles but something like on the termies reaper autocanon (whithout the blade however)

Meetings are helpfull!

IW Dread looks great! I guess I am too late, but I also think you should magnetize the flamer and siege drill! But as long as you are going to use the flamer on another dread, I can live with that. I just about crapped my pants when I saw the Khorne Dread update! LOVE IT! I want one now! Although, when I get around to making my dread I may use Forge World's new Contemptor Dread as an inspiration! I love them! Almost enough to shell out the money and actually BUY one! *gasp*

@joe - thanks, your right about the ends. I do have the too daemon heads that I was going to use before but they didn't go with the single head already at the back of the barrel. I don't have any tube thats fits now, so autocannon on hold again !!!!!!:(

@RSjake - Thanks I have decided to make another arm for the flammer, but I haven't decided whether to give it to the slaanesh, or make a new dread The new FW dreads are amazing, and I wouldn't mind 1 myself GiraffeX is getting 1 to convert into a khorne I think, check him out!!

I'll leave that up to you, but what I mainly meant was a big claw arm with a inbuilt flamer. Don't know how big the claw would have to be to fit around that flamer, but I think it could look pretty epic.

More work on the dreadlord today. It took me longer than I thought it would to make the autocannon, but after aload of plastic grinding, and a superglue mishap I'm happy with how it is going so far.
Also I thought instead of hands, a couple of mega flammers would be more menacing

Now I need to think of a weapon for the left arm, plamsa maybe??

Any ideas from the dakkas would be appreciated

I,ve tried using a sentinal plasma cannon on the left arm, although looking at it now it looks a bit small, I think I need to order the ven dread one

Or do I need to set it back even further?

I see what you mean there with the plasma cannon. It does look a tad small, maybe throw another on there, twin-linked plasma cannon? Or you could upsize it to the Ven Dread cannon.

@alfhedil - I like the twin linked plasma idea, maybe I will get another sentinal gun and a ven gun and see what happens!!!!

Well, even after a days work there's still loads to do. Mainly I need to think of how I'm going to do the driver. I've got a FW dread head, that I want to use, so may need to scratch build a ven dread style front.

This is what he looks like so far.

I'm off now to spend money on more bitz

I'm in real trouble here I should be painting my pimped sorcerer for the end of the month, but I can't stop working on the DREADLORD

The Dreadknight is a great model, but as alot of people are saying it does look like it is a robotic baby carrier

With the baby carrier look out of the question, I've started a mock up of my replacement. Also added a groin launcher to replace the legs.

What you think????

What chapter/warband is it for?

Oh yes that is looking really nice. I think maybe it needs to be a bit more enclosed on the sides but I'm really impressed so far

I was out most of Sunday so not much work has been done on the Contemptor, one of his legs is glued together now, I need to change the base a bit as the other leg isn't glueing very well to the rock due to the treads on the bottom of the foot. Some GS on the rock will solve this issue though.

@joshh - thanks man! I wanted people to vote for khorn, or Iron worriors. Only got 1 vote for khorn so far, but the way it is going I feel it more an IW, what do you recon?

@giraffex - thanks alot, yes I think I need to make new parts to fill the gaps, instead of using the DK plates

I think it'd be really cool if you gave it to a warband, like the Red Corsairs. It'd be a different paint scheme and I think you could really add some details and colour to it.

I'm inclined to go IW. It's so shooty that it almost has to be adorned in hazard stripes. The mask screams IW to me too. If it had a chainsaws for hands, then I'd say khorne. I can totally picture it, slowly marching, firing random rockets off, here and there. Burning anything too close to shoot a rocket at.

For the leg plates, have you thought about using the IG tank track guards that come on the IG tank accessory sprue? I'm not sure if they are the right size, but they have a very armored plating feel to them that's rivetted and not so rounded off like the NDK plates. It may provide a more bulky feel, though I'm not sure if that's what you're after.

Thanks moltar - It really does screem IW to me tooo, even though I am open to ideas for anything else.

The IG plates are about the right size, but I'm liking the curved look ATM, thanks for the suggestion though
