Love your work, just packed up your paints & will have them on their way. Man that's a pretty looking batch of figures.

Thanks, thou honestly I'm not happy with the SR. I purchased another (which I will do after AC), I dislike the non-conformity of the base color. There are several flaws in the model. Also no easy way to magnitize the weapons. Several of the hinge peices broke easily and had to be drilled and pinned.
After AC I might turn this one into terrain.

Thanks for the paint. My Airbrush should be up and running by the time they arrive.

Solar I think the raven looks cool and I can't wait to see it in person, but I think it would also look fantastic as a piece of ruined terrain! I guess you only have a couple models to go and you're done right? One more raven and a couple guys right?

Sorry the pics are slightly blurry but I think you get the point. I've gotten 4 of the terminators completed, I added a nice flowing cape bit onto a base and painted it howling griffin style. I then added a howling griffin arm reaching for a bolter on another guys base. I've continued to work on the NMM tutorial. Once i get the blending down I think I will definitely use it more in the future, it just turns out so nice even when done poorly! Thoughts?

They look great Ice! And you are really getting the hang of the NMM... nice addition to your bag of tricks. Bases look good too. Will have to add some opposing marine bits to mine but I want to make sure my army actually gets painted before I spend too much time on my bases.

I thought the assembled might find this amusing... I summarize the 4 lists for our Adepticon team as follows:

Solar_lion/Lamenters: "All my eggs in one basket."
Gitsplitta/Mantis Warriors: "I can annoy the heck out of you but probably can't actually kill you."
Ice's friend/Executioners: "My chief strategist was lost in the wilderness as a baby & raised by orks."
IceAngel/Tiger Claws: "I should have taken Huron for the fluff, but self-preservation got the better of me."

WM - That make me feel better and in good company!

Keeping in Git's frame of mind... our mottos using Latin words - ( not scientific)

Mine in Latin : “ Omnis Meus Fetura in Corbis “

Git's : "Meus vexo, Meus Negueo Occido"

Ice friend " Parvulus Aborior Meus Princeips Generalis Hermus Elatus Orkis Fungi"

Ice" Huron Poenitentia Pro Narrutus, Meus Asservatio Triumphus"

~sigh~

SL - I need to go home and paint!

I finally got around to working on my last terminator. I think my howling griffin banner turned out pretty good. My commander is next along with my objective. A display board is in my near future.

4000 points of marines on one board, I want it to be as small as possible, most likely two pieces. How big of a board should I have?

Talk amongst yourselves!

Actually Ice you should make the board sectional, so that we each can take our piece of it as a movement tray.

I think I can fit my army on maybe as little as 12" x 18", though I suppose 18"x18" would be more comfortable.

Termies turned out great by-the-way!

I may use my Ice Angels as proxies to see how much room we need but four 18 by 18 inch squares would be a nice three by three foot display I should be able to whip up.

Git can you mail me some of your tall grass?

Ok, so after a great weekend of gluttony, I only managed small amounts of painting, but I did get the board and sliced it into nice 1 x 2 foot boards which will make a nice 2 x 4 display area. I also started to put the first stages of the orange on my commander.

Because I feel the need to do so here is my plan this week.

Monday and Tuesday - paint commander

Wednesday - apply sand, stone, rubble, debris etc to the board

Thursday - Prime board

Friday - Sunday - apply levels of brown to board, built objective, prime objective

Monday - Wednesday - detail board and paint objective.

Thursday - last minute touch ups before leaving for Adepticon....

Friday - enjoy Adepticon

Saturday - Murder the enemies with the Wardens of the Maelstrom aka No Impulse Control.....

Sunday - recover

That's the plan. 12 days to Adepticon, much needs to be done. Here we go!

Ice - remember I have 2 SR and very little troops. Mine will have to be wide enough to accomidate - I can measure the wing to wing if you need it.

Your wings can always slop over the edges over the other trays SL, as long as the bases fit on you'll be fine.

OKAY, Corien Sumatris.

First of all I did a couple things a bit on the fly so let me know what you think. He has three purity seals on him, which I painted in my allies colors. Mantis Warrior green, Lamenter yellow, and on his leg Executioner camo. After I started messing around with the shield I really liked the pattern etched into the pewter and I really felt like Corien needed something so I attempted to have the blue squigglies other places on his armor. I did just a couple to test it out. What do you think? More or less, or get rid of them?

After I took these pictures I also realized that I didn't finish a couple level of highlights on the orange, whoops! I will be doing that while I patiently await for some responses. Feedback please!

Love that model, awesome helmet (where is that from btw?) and badass pose!

Great idea on the seals, nice touch there.

Sorry but i'm not particularly feeling the blue on the armour, looks just like scribbles. Does look good on the loicloth though.

How about painting the chest shield blue?

See, I'm just the opposite, I love the blue on the armor, but I'm not sure about the loincloth...

Very cool fig Ice, however, I couldn't help but notice that there is a mold line running up the swordarm from the elbow up to the shoulder. I think I might see one on the guard of the sword as well, but that is slightly blurry.

I definitely like the blue lines on the grey cloth areas and on the orange it does a good job of breaking up what would otherwise be a fairly solid block of orange on the faceplate. I wouldn't do much more than you have since if you add too many it would start getting a bit busy and would probably just end up looking messy.

Overall an excellent fig and a striking paint job.
