Dude your conversions are out of this world!

Love the Ad Mech stuff and the looted Orks especially, but the craftmen ship of your blood bowl stuff is as top notch.

The Arcangel General conversison is pretty spectacular, my first thought was it would make a fantastic Sanguinius stand in (but I am a BA player, so what did you expect)

Great work

I think it would be a pretty easy model to convert into Sanguinius. the breastplate is split front to back, so you could replace it with a marine BP pretty easily, and the rest is already about right.

I had another pretty productive weekend. This time, I managed to finish up the penitent mob for my Kings of War Army of light that's been hanging around for a while. Here are the finished pics:

And I started on Cock-Knocker stadium - the home field for my halflings. With their league record sitting at 1-5, I figured they needed a morale boost.

There's still plenty of work to do on it, but she's playable now.

More to come,

Dan

I just fell off my chair laughing at them but in a good way, not what I was thinking off originally built a better idea by far and they look great.

Because we’re here,lad...

I've seen a few BloodBowl teams in my time, but yours beats them all by a clear mile. Great work!

Thanks man! I'm a big fan of Blood Bowl, and it provides some unique modeling opportunities.

I finished up the Lumpin Croop memorial stadium today. Given that he died when the old world was destroyed, it's the least I can do for Warhammer's most famous halfling.

The visitor's dugout is a livestock pen - only the halflings get delicious treats during the game - although it's all built to be modular so the dugouts can be swapped out.

Next up, some mechanicum stuff.

Brilliant love the away teams dugout maybe chuck some chickens in there as well, how about some hay stacks around the edge make do benches.

Just love it but know I want to build a blood ball pitch and dug outs

pitch perfect - I love it!

The hay bails are a great idea. Once i figure out how to make some convincing ones, I'll add them. The chickens are small and brown, but they're already there.

I'll get my first game on her tonight - we'll see if it improves their luck.

Sorry missed the chickens I see them now

If you have a wood work shop near by see if you can get some sanding shavings works great as straw I used to work in the industry and we had an industrial sander for panels, perfect for modelling uses and making sawdust snowballs

It's been a bit since my last update, but I've definitely still been getting plenty of painting done - mostly blood bowl stuff.

First, my dwarf team:

The guy with the hat is the team's coach - he runs a small bootlegging operation on the side.

Next up, the vamps:

I finished up some mechanicum stuff too, but I've got no pics today.

More to come soon,

The vampires are a Willly's blood bowl team. If you've never checked them out, look them up. They make the best alternative BB models out there in my opinion.

So a buddy of mine and I are working toward a 30k mini-campaign - World Eaters vs. Space Wolves, and it's got me excited to add some more models to my Wolves. I put together a reconnaissance squad armed with sniper rifles today, and I decided to add a few more WIP shots than usual to chronicle how they were put together.

Here's the series:

These guys are a combination of a SM recce squad, a bunch of wolf and marauder bits, some beastmen bits, some 30k marine bits, and a pile of green stuff. I wanted them to look more seasoned than the blood claws (as SW recce guys are veterans) but more mobile than the chaos warrior conversions I used for the grey hunters.

I think they came off pretty well; what do you think?

Thanks for the info will check them out

Now I ain't much of a SM fan but I do have a slight soft spot for SW, I think it's the medieval feral mix that I am drawn to.

Anyway great job on the vets love how you do your fur turns out well but you missed out Catachans on the parts list I see at least one of there arms

Actually there are 2 of there arms

Oops - you're absolutely right. There are Catachan arms in the mix too for sure. They look a bit beefy for IG, but they're great on SWs.

I use a bit more yellow than blue in my greenstuff, and I sculpt it when it's really fresh. Other than that, fur just takes a bit of practice. It's pretty easy after a few tries.

Those are some damn fine Wolf Scout conversions.

Ive been painting a lot but updating little; today's the day to remedy this problem.

First up, I finished the Wolf Scout squad for the Vlka Fenryka:

I kept the pallet deliberately limited on these guys. I figure they'd tailor their selections of pelts to match the terrain.

Next up, I needed some apothecaries for an upcoming game, so I decided to paint up a few wolf priests. I'm not sure what FW will do with the WP vs. apothecary bit when the list comes out, but in my company, these guys represent the youngest 3 wolf priests of the company.

I need Leman Russ for a mini-campaign we're running, so I decided to buy a stand-in model for him until the FW model is released. Here's his WIP shots:

Finally, we have the end-of-season tournament for our Blood Bowl league this weekend, so I finished up my halfling support staff:

And that's all for today. I used some windfall cash to make a large FW order, so the boys in grey will be getting a few heavy reinforcements in the upcoming weeks...

Those scouts turned out very Space Wolfy. I hate the Space Wolves Scout models, I'd buy those however if GW sold them. Great job!

I hate updates that tempt you really have a way of selling these SW, hell you even made those catachan comic arms look good

Plus a stand in model I have heard it all now

Those halflings are just superb what company are those from ? You did a great job with the paint pallet nice to see some brighter coloured halflings rather than the usual green, brown and a dash of yellow.

Thanks after a really gak day at work you have put a smile on my face

I bought them all at www.comixininos.com. They have pulled together a pretty solid inventory from a large number of manufacturers.

I'm glad you dig them; we'll see how they do in the tournament this weekend - I'm thinking we'll finish in about last place.

The Catachan arms get a lot of gak, but they're okay in some contexts. The problem is when you try to stack Catachan troops next to marines - the marines look pretty tiny.

In preparation for the upcoming 30k campaign, I needed to get a Leman Russ model painted up. While this guy will definitely get replaced with the FW model when it's released, he's a great stand-in.

He's depicted here with the two wolves mentioned in Prospero Burns, and he'll be dueling with Angron in the next few weeks.

Well, as the 30k campaign gets closer, I decided to pull the trigger on a Forgeworld order to fill out my list a bit. It arrived yesterday, and I'll be working on the new recruits all weekend.

First up, I'm adding 2 more contemptors to the one I already have to finish a full talon. I haven't worked on a backstory for these guys yet, but they'll definitely be ready to provide some armor cracking strength to the Wolves.

Next, I bought one of the new Leviathan class dreads. I'm a sucker for walkers, and this guy looked too awesome to pass up. He's going to be decked out with 2 shooting arms to provide some long range fire support as we charge the World Eaters.

Once these are done, I'll start on the last model I bought - a fire raptor. I couldn't resist.
After last time I put together a FW storm eagle, I swore I'd never build the kit again - it was that bad. Opening it this time though, I was pleasantly surprised. Either I was just lucky this time, or they changed something in the way they package and ship stuff, but it was much better, and required very little bending to get ready for assembly.

More to come,

Dan

I finished up the big guy today, and he's, well... big.

The kit was a breeze to work with. For whatever reason, the kit had no warping, little flash, and no releasing agent on the parts. It was the best FW kit I've ever worked with.

On the other hand, I renew my pledge to never purchase a storm eagle chassis vehicle again (maybe anyway). While the ship looks incredible once assembled, no two parts fit together without a great deal of filing, sanding, or whittling. I'm not sure why, but the fire raptor kit is a mess.

She's together now, and I should have completed pics in the next few days.

Until then,

Dan
