I played BB back in the day (or at least wanted to). Had all the books. A few minis and the styrofoam board. Just got the xBox360 game for Christmas from my stepson. You guys like it?

The video game is really good, it plays exactly like the board game. The advantage of it being a video game is playing online gives you a huge range of opponents.

My Steam account says I have played 278 hours of it, so I guess you could say I like it.

Harry, I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it. Don't wait for it. Just let it happen. It could be a new shirt at the men's store, a catnap in your office chair, or two cups of good, hot black coffee.

I have it, played it a little but haven't really gotten into it yet. But all in all I don't think it's a bad game, besides I picked it up in one of Gamestop's buy one get one so it was free so I really can't complain.

It's essentially a perfect replica of the table top game. I found it extremely helpful to practice and learn the in and out of the game while I was playing in a league in my FLGS.

That being said... the graphics are dated (it doesn't look like an xbox 360 title...) and the animation are pretty poor. The computer is also very bad and only seems to have two plays (Hail Mary Pass over your line or defensive box), once you learn how to break a box, the game offers almost no challenge anymore. This of course can be solved by going to play online, but since the game has been out for a while now, I wonder what the wait time for matches is like...

It was good but it seemed that the dice were rigged.

I enjoy the game. I don't play online, but I love playing as Beastmen, just for the fact that their ultimate goal is to take down the other team and maybe, hopefully, accidentally kick the ball into the endzone at some point during the scuffle.

Proudest moment was going up against Goblins. In the second half, after all their secret weapons had been retired, I went absolutely berzerk on the team, and they wound up with 4 guys on the field at the end. Much blood was spilled that day.

I enjoy it. It's helping me to learn the rules of the game since I'm trying to set up a real-life league in my gaming group.

I bought it but haven't played it. I guess I should start, huh?

It captured the look and spirit of Blood Bowl quite well.

That's where it's good parts stop.

The coding of the game is abysmal, and takes absolutely nothing of how each team plays on the table into consideration. Every team in the video game plays a passing game.

Dwarves. Passing. Dwarves, passing, and passing effectively over the heads of 3 Wood Elves.

It also likes to exploit its own mechanics. Build a star player from the XP earned in one game? He becomes the target for Foul Actions of every player on the next team you play. They will kill him, eventually.

Against other players who don't have all of the code on hand to cheat with, I'm sure it's a fine game, but against the AI? It's abysmal.

It is best to be a pessimist. You are usually right and, when you're wrong, you're pleasantly surprised.

I've got the legendary version. I thought it was an ok game but i just couldnt get the hang of it. I had this innate ability to lose the ball no matter where i through it or what i did with it. I came to the conclusion that i suck at it. Still it looks like an awesome game if one could get a handle on it.

I liked the concept and the execution of it was good; very faithful to the board game. However, the computer/AI seems to cheat horrifically - the dice rolls are bordering on the unbelievable sometimes. This is even more pronounced in the Legendary Edition where it would appear the AI is actively rigging the dice rolls at times. A shame, because otherwise its fun to play.

The game is really meant to be played multiplayer. The way some of you complain about the AI, it's like you've never tried it.

They are. I tested it by saving just before kick off and loading after the resolution. My elf failed to catch the ball fifty times out of fifty tries.

Aye AI issues wrecked single player, unless you like beating your head against a wall. I mean the AI plays like a ten year old rookie, but cheats to win.
It is so frustrating, when you can look right through its plays, but then it does something unbelievable like have a Ogre dodging past two players to make a key block. A Human player wouldn't even take the chance.

Would play against more folks online, but the xbox game (which I have) stripped back all the online options so basically the only option is 'quick game' no stats carry over, and there is no league format.

Basically next to useless.

Love the game and have racked up 100's of hours. The cheating with dice rolls and low agility players skipping through several tackle zones is the only fault with it.

That said its a lot of fun

I don't play mutliplayer anything. I have no desire to spend what minuscule free time I have to myself these days being shouted at down a microphone by an American tween.

I find most people who play are from Europe. Instead of facing an America tween, your once proud Orc team ends up getting dismantled by a french elf with hot dice. In all the games I've played, I only remember ever playing one guy who had bad manners.

I've tried to get into it many many times, but the difficulty and what I keep suspecting are skewed rolls just kills it for me. I believe Mel said she enjoyed it though.

I played it for a half hour and really hated it. The controls were clunky -oh my god where is the options menu button during a game?- as is just generally navigating around the menus. Personally though I dislike sports games in general, and not being a fan of playing the blood bowl tabeltop game (if I wanted to play sports I would play rugby in the real world instead) I didn't expect to jump on the video game version either. But it was only a few pounds off of Steam, so I decided to give it a try. =/
