The mighty Jy2 was discussing with Reecius how he would have no problem beating my Nurgle Chaos space marines army with his Doom scythe Necron army. So i say bring it come on down any day to the shop and prepare to get destroyed by the mighty Chaos!!

BTW, for those who don't know, Frankie is a very good player. He's been ranked #1 player in the USA for a period of time according to RankingsHQ.com and won the Broadside Bash last year (I believe it was last year) with his Nurgle marines.

Play a game at 1500 point or lower and I'll be definitely interested in the game; otherwise to me it's an Meta vs Meta match.

Nothing personal with the players as they do put out good bat reps from time to time.

I just don't like the game mechanics at a higher point games . anymore.

Ha ha this just made my night. I think I am the kid who kicked the hornets nest by telling jy2 he should play Frankies Nurgle marines and he nonchalantly stated he would wreck them (with no offense meant i believe he said). I love that I live in Maine and instigated some crap way out in Cali. Maybe I should play Eldar....

The whole point is to test out their armies, and they are both probably playing tournament so 1750 or 2000.

Also smaller games just don't work, you have can't take units you want.

And that is exactly my point. If you have rely on a higher point game just to get those "pretty" toys into your army list, what is the point of playing? "Meta is what Meta is" and that is my point of my post.

Sure play a higher point game (1750+). It should be fun to watch, but there are people who really like to see a 1500 point game with higher profile players. They are supposed to be "the pros". They should be able to play their armies at any point level regardless because of their skill, not because of models at hand.

Again, I have nothing against the players in this competition. I just want to see more of the lower point games being done by higher profile players. Good luck with your game regardless.

It may be difficult to rot metal but it can and will be done!

The battle should be at which ever Jy2's Doom scythe army is, 1850-75 I think, I also think letting Dakka vote on mission/deployment is a great idea. Who is the toughest 40k army? THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE!!!!!!!

We will probably be playing at either 2K with book missions or if Frankie wants practice for the Bay Area Open (BAO) tournament, 1750 with BAO scenarios.

For those who don't know, Frankie played against Reece's Scarab-farm necrons with his Nurgle marines and convincingly defeated the necrons.

But don't worry Frankie. I won't under-estimate your army. I know just how tough nurgle marines are.

On the other hand, if we played BAO scenario, it will have all 3 missions.
