Probably lost his legs.
To those who care, there are ways to help out vets. If you have some spare cash you can make donations to the Wounded Warrior Project, or more recently Wounded Wear which provides clothing to wounded veterans to help them embrace the fact that they are wounded and deserve respect for it. If you have a lot of money and live near a soldier or anybody in the military find out if they need any gear, sometimes they don't get the right equipment from the military.
And no, that last part is not a joke.

No marksmanship badges or ribbons, belt undressed with that long flappy (uncut) tail showing, NCO stripe on his trousers non NCO rank on his sleeves, those very unshined sketchers, untailored paints, and white gloves.
There are two people in this picture one of them is a marine and the other one is lucky to still be capable of walking.

Its not the first time a US soldier was impersonated.  For those who don't remember the story or don't know the story, Al Qaeda said that they had taken some US Marines hostage and used this photo to show one of them. The "Marine" in question is actually a GI Joe toy.

They tailor your blues to fit, that bloke looks like snoop doggy dogg!
This literally never happens in England because nobody is impressed or pleasant towards armed forces members.
And the IRA might be on the backburner, but if you walk through Bradford or Blackburn or Luton like this your liable to get stabbed.
I had a Royal Marines sweater on in London and a mob of Muslims started hurling abuse at me. If I hadn't laughed in the biggest ones face, threw some colourful abuse at them and dared him to do something about it it may well have gone awry. Automatically Appended Next Post: I figured they would figure i had a handgun and a sack full of grenades if i was so obviously crass and offensive.
