After getting much feedback and such this is the 1500pt list Iv ended up going with for the Death Korps of Krieg army I plan to build..

The basic infantry squads will be used a shields, hence the lack of upgrades.
The PCC are for combat support for the Commissar units.
Creed just hangs back handing out orders, can use his "For the honour of cadia" order to boost combat troops.
Creed will give the demo vets scout so they can outflank and be a pain by either contesting objectives or blowing up backfied vehicles etc.
I have the heavy weapon teams for long range anti-tank or troop killing and melta bombs in most units in case vehicles get close or they are bogged down by a walker.
Any thoughts/suggestions welcome.

It makes me weep to see all of those empty special weapon slots, and then to see them replaces with fodder 50pt PIS is really sad.
On a note, your PCSs do not get las-pistols and CCWs, your totally doing that wrong. In fact, there is not a single unit or option for Guard that gives an entire unit Laspistols AND CCWs. The closest is Penal Legion rolling a 5 or 6 and getting Knife Fighters (they get an extra CCW, but no las-pistol) or Rough Riders getting the Lance and the choice of CCW or Las-pistol, but the Lance is a one-shot weapon...so there is that. I think this means you need to re-consider your PCSs and their role. I will also note their Standard is not a regimental standard either...all you get is counting as causing an extra wound in CC.
Drop those god aweful krak nades and get either Melta bombs or get special weapons.
The HWSs and Creed are fine, but you should get Camo Cloaks for Creed so your list isn't destroyed when his unit is shot off of the board. I would also get Kell, because you have so many HWSs, so your Orders to them are at Creed's Ld 10 instead of their Ld 7. If you don't want to get Kell, I suggest a Lord Commissar to use his 'Aura of Discipline' to sit around some HWSs, specially the LC HWSs. This gives them Ld 10 for Morale, pinning, and Orders, so they will hang around longer when your opponent puts fire on them.

Pcs's and ccs squads can exchange their lasguns for las pistols, and they already have ccw's. So you're wrong on that point. Also the lack of special weapons annoys me too. I have 155+ guardsmen in my 1500 footlist and all special weapon and heavy weapon slots are filled. How you only have that many men and hardly any special weapons and heavy weapons is beyond me.

Still, a 5 man unit of Guard is really not a threat in CC.

If I drop Krak Grenades accross the entire army I can buy a single plasma gun.
The reason I havent given the infantry squads any upgrades is because Im not expecting them to live long, that and a bs of 3 means they wont be hitting a whole lot, if anything I would give them a melta, plasma guys tend to melt themselves.
Camo cloaks is indeed a good idea.
I cant see myself getting kell though, I would have to drop at least 10 guys in order get him and ld 7 doesnt really fail that often to warrant the expense.
I think having a Lord Commissar just sitting near the HWTs would be a bit of a waste. I think with the HWts I will just have to make sure I dont put them right near the board edge so I have a chance to rally them before they bolt. I would be interested to see the list you use to acheive this. Do you use conscripts?

I agree, 5 men isnt much, this is why
The PCC are for combat support for the Commissar units.
So it wont just be 5 guys.

I would still be tempted to drop a AC HWS and the Krak nades (for 90pts) to get special weapons and power weapons for the naked PISs.
I will also point out that if the only reason why you have the Vets is for double Meltagun action, you could get SWSs with 3 melta guns for 65pts... the 3rd gun gives you that swing '1.5 hits out of 3'. If you just pack 2 Melta guns, you can have Demo charges for a 75pt unit, though 10 guys with melta bombs are pretty nice for walker killing. This plus the Krak nades gives you 70pts.
If you keep the Vets, then I would suggest shotguns, so they can shoot and still charge.

The point of a power blob is that the Commissar and Sergeants can not be targeted in close combat. Your las gun guys are ablative wounds while you take your 6+ PW swings a turn. Buy proper kitting out your blobs in the first place, you would not need your PCS to charge in a turn later to /maybe/ swing the tide.
I rarily run a PCS over 50pts, and kit them out for a role. Your PCSs, now that I am finially understanding how you want to use them, specially with Creed, probably will do the role you want them to fill fine. In 6th Ed, they will probably be better, depending on the changes.
This is my standard 20 man blob...
PIS - 120pts

If I want it to be defensive for bubble wrapping artillery or just as campers in a gunline list, I add in ACs due to the BS 3 and to allow them to be able to pop transports.
In my experience, I can still charge and have some weapons that will insta-kill power armor, deal with armor, have something incase a walker attacks me (I play alot of BA) or stumble across a stunned vehicle. And I still have 16 guys to give up to wounds, then the melta guns, and then the power weapons (if the Commissar hasn't killed anyone). Because of the Stubborn and Ld 9, I have to have a fluke roll to get a sergeant executed. It is otherwise a solid, well balaced unit. The one thing they /can't/ deal with in CC is T 7+ MCs (Wraithlords for example). This is where 'Bring it Down!' and melta guns help so much. With your current load out, you can't deal with it either if it stays out of sight from your HWSs... like that one Nid critter that tunnels... I forget it's name off hand.
I guess if you just don't want to do it, that is your call. Good luck either way.

Well I have left all of my books at my flgs but the list goes something like this, just letting you know it is very anti-tank, heavy tanks at that. I was wrong with all special weapons and heavy weapons filled, I think I have like 4-6 spots not filled in the whole army.

The list isn't the most competitive but is so fun to play with though, the primaris pysker goes with the squad with the melta. Just deploy however you see fit with it, it's very fun as I said before. That's how I fit that many men in, there's 149 or something models in this army if my counting is correct.

I think what I will do is pretty much buy the stuff I need to make my list and just see how it plays, I'll try out using more special weapons and such in the squads also and see what works best.
After a few games my list will probably change several times lol.
