Ive got several fine cast models.. Imotekh.. two crypteks... and my latest is the Ctan shard of Nightbringer... and to be honest i don't see how these are all that more detailed then the old stuff.. sure smaller lines and what not.. but i'm just not woo haaa over it.. good thing i'm not a profesional painter i'd be upset to try and paint them for a " paint contest " .. but i'll throw some paint on the Nightbringer and put him on the field, thats what i got him for. don't get me wrong i'm glad i got them and they do look cool.. but just really not all that impressed with them. maybe i just got some bad casting or something.. idk.

any one else just not all that impressed with them? or better yet who is Impressed with them.. maybe some Pics to show how well or not well they turned out?

what your two cents.?

I love them personally. The point isn't that they hold more detail than metal, it's that they hold as much detail as metal, more than plastic, and yet are not metal.

So they hold the detail of metal, but are as easy to use as plastic, which means they are easy to convert, paint jobs don't chip, and don't require pinning.

I'm not saying they are BETTER, just that those are their strengths, and for me that is fantastic. Metal has strengths too, they just aren't as important to me as workability and not having to deal with chipped paint.

I've had a few bubbles, but nothing big to deal with so far. They have been fairly easy to patch up, so I'm happy for the trade-off myself.

I'm not sure I understand what you're asking. Finecast figures look like any other figure after being painted.

Im a bit annoyed by the bendiness of things like sword blades, Id prefer just plastic whenever possible.

Either that or if I really want resin stuff I'll go FW, they seem to know how to use resin.
