Subject: Magnifying lamps, and where to buy 'em(UK)

We'll find out soon enough eh.

So, considering how quickly you lot helped me on the last query, thought I'd ask another one; where are good places to get magnifying lamps at a decent price? I found one that was perfect(Pro'sKit MA-1225CF), but it seems to have vanished off the face of the earth, nowhere stocks it anymore. I need to find a 2x magnification(4 dioptre, although a 5 dioptre/2.25x would do) with a colour temperature of at least 5500K, ideally a long gooseneck with a clamp, but at the least an armature version with two degrees of rotation at the point the glass/lamp joins the arm, and even more ideally in black or metal(my flatmate will go mad if I spoil her "perfect" living room with a "big ugly lump of white plastic" - you do -not- want to know how she reacted when I put in my bitzbox storage drawer cabinet ).
Cheers.
((original post: I need to pick up a few Terminator legs for conversions, and the site in the title appears to have a few advantages over bitzbox.co. uk; they have the items in stock, they're cheaper, and they don't make you pay them a subscription just to get basic stock info. However, I prefer to not to put my credit card info into a site I know nothing about, so has anyone used them, and were they any good?))

Use them frequently due to sheer number of bitz available, plus they sell individual sprues which is always a plus.
Can't fault them to be honest, except for the fact that their popularity usually means all the bits get sold before I can buy them...

Nice one thanks chaps, I gave them a try but their website wouldn't take my money(more likely to be Bank of Scotland being morons than any issue at their end), so I'll try their CS line in a few hours.

Re magnifiers/lamps Hobbycraft have allot of these sort of things. I have a Draper one from their which is effectively a steel frame with movable arms, might be called a work holder. Not sure if it's pretty enough for your Mrs buts it's compact and easily put away.
They have plenty of other stuff. Look at it there and buy it online.
You coils also try RGB Tools. Their a hobby tool website that I have found quite good.
Another alternative might be jigsaw/puzzle sites. I think their pretty common in that field.
