Any advice is more than welcome. This is the first thing i have painted so let me know what you think..
Second try at the fading. no spots or graininess this time.
This one is actually much more vivid in color. btw 3rd and final.

Started the models with a base of Hexed Lichen by Game Color
then did the yellow with Darksun from GW and followed up with Sun Yellow from Game Color. Then a 1:1 mix of Sun Yellow and white.
I then went back and brought the purple back up in the main areas again.

the transition looks a little grainy, i would either spray closer to the model, with a higher PSI, or using thinner paint

yeah, the left front fin is a bit grainy. I was working on to low of a PSI I think. but i'm not sure.

For your first airbrush attempt, this looks very decent. Try thinning your paints a bit more to avoid the graininess, but other than that, you're off to a great start.

I like the red. Mainly because it keeps the model with warm colors. The Teal is also nice however I am not sure how it will work.

Blood red, blazing orange, sunburst yellow tip, sometimes a menoth highlight (p3)dot.
Teal
Hawk Turquoise, Arcane Blue (p3), Ice blue, white dot.
